This is their description: The Toulon Design Chicago is a face-balanced wide blade putter best suited for strokes with minimal arc and face rotation. The 2022 Toulon Design putters have been completely reimagined to improve performance with a new Deep Diamond Groove mill pattern, split weighting system, our new Stroke Lab shaft and midsize pistol grip.

Hello, Can anyone verify the specs of the 2022 Toulon Chicago?

Their website says full shaft of offset and 30 deg of toe hang. Which seems off for a double bend.

I emailed Odyssey and haven't gotten a reply.

The 2020 version has much different specs listed.

Thanks

while double bend typically means face balanced,  the Chicago does have about 30 degrees of toe hang…. I hit one yesterday.

Thanks for the info.. What did you think of it?

It’s a nice putter if it fits your stroke.  I personally think there are lots of nice putters in the marketplace and  as a player you need to find the configuration that helps you manage speed and doesn’t fight your stroke.  Are the 22 Toulon better than previous years?  I didn’t think they were.

I found this. Looks like it has toe hang

Second from right

Those aren't the new models, though.  The 2021 Chicago's description:

The Toulon Design Chicago is a double bend blade with some toe hang encouraging minimal face rotation and arc. Chicago is a new addition to the 2020 Toulon Design Collection and is a wide blade inspired by Odyssey’s One Wide putter. This beautifully crafted milled putter includes our multi-material Stroke Lab shaft to improve your stroke, and our Deep Diamond Mill face pattern to create a soft but crisp feel while encouraging consistent forward roll.

And the 2022's:

The Toulon Design Chicago is a face-balanced wide blade putter best suited for strokes with minimal arc and face rotation. The 2022 Toulon Design putters have been completely reimagined to improve performance with a new Deep Diamond Groove mill pattern, split weighting system, our new Stroke Lab shaft and midsize pistol grip.

Either way, the 2021 is listed with 16 degrees of hang, and the 2022 is listed with 30.  Neither of the numbers seem to match up here, so who knows what to believe. Crazy how Odyssey can screw up the specs on a $450 putter.

For sure.
I called Callaway / Odyssey. Even they didn't know for sure..  The customer service rep said they would have to ask Sean Toulon. haha

Odyssey/Callaway customer service is the worst, they literally just don’t respond to emails in my experience. The specs for the 2022 Toulon Chicago are also different on PGA Tour Superstore’s website, so I have no clue what to believe. Since I haven’t gotten a response from Callaway I asked PGATSS about this issue, and the specs they said they “confirmed” with Callaway on are different than the specs on both PGATSS’s website and Odyssey’s - so it seems like nobody really knows for some odd reason. Might be 3/4th shaft offset, might be full. Might be 20 degrees toe hang, might be 30 degrees.

Very strange that they can’t provide accurate specs for a $450 putter

Callaway’s CS is top notch in my experience. Why send an email when you can pick up the phone and call Callaway/Odyssey?

All double bend shafted putters offered by Odyssey are full shaft offset. Furthermore, I would trust the manufacturer’s specs over a retailer.

Yeah calling is obviously the move when dealing with Callaway, but it shouldn’t be difficult to respond to an email either. Haven’t had any issues getting responses from other manufacturers. I also tend to prefer email for these types of questions because customer services reps often won’t have the desired info on hand, as mentioned above by Mirwin9711. And ik double bend is nearly always full offset but I’m pretty sure it indeed was 3/4th offset for the 2020 Toulon Chicago. Also, Callaway has changed the specs on their own website a couple times for this putter; originally it was 30 degrees of toe hang, then it was changed to 20 degrees for a period, and now it says 30 again. This was PGATSS’s response a couple months ago about the 2022 Chicago

Can anybody compare the feeling between 5k tri-hot triple wide to this?

I haven’t tested Toulon putters as they aren’t available in store in my experience, but the TriHot will be considerably softer with the White hot insert. And the Chicago has some toe-hang while the triple wide is face-balanced. Both seem to incorporate the same forward CG methodology.

I’m considering buying a Tri-Hot Double Wide but I was a little concerned about it catching harsh glare on the silver finish when I was testing it. Can you speak on whether you’ve had any issues with glare on sunny days with your Triple Wide?
