TW lead investor in SPAC focused on 600MM-1B acquisition

Looks like a lot of big dogs involved. I bolded a couple of noteworthy participants. 
 

“Tiger Woods is making a play for a sports technology business, filing to raise $150 million through a special purpose acquisition company, a blank check venturethat seeks to bring another company public.”

 

“The company has a large slate of athletes and executives participating. Among them are Andrew White, the executive chairman of Lead Sports (usually stylized leAD), a sports investment fund backed by the Adidas-founding Dassler family. Lead CEO Christoph Sonnen is an executive in Woods’ SPAC, as well. Lead is a sponsor of the SPAC, which provides funding to bring the business to its IPO.”

 

“Chairman of the SPAC is Jon Voigtman, long an executive at investment bank RBC. David Rey, recently a managing director at European broadcaster Sky; Alan Hodson, formerly an executive at investment bank UBS; David Maura, CEO of home and hardware products firm Spectrum Brands; and Stephen Gartner, a retired mergers and acquisitions attorney, round out participants in the venture.”

good find and quite interesting. Spac's have been a hot trend and it looks like TW has assembled a dream to take his net worth from 1B to many times that

Forget the complexities of special purpose acquisition companies! George Foreman has made a cool quarter billion from his grill! I can see it now, the ‘Big Cat Grill’ from Tiger Woods. 😂

I had one! Got it when I got my first own place in the city. I had never cooked a thing growing up so the first time I used the Foreman Grill

 

I put on some plain chicken breast and didn’t season it! No salt and pepper, nothing!

 

I was like, “this is turrible” 🤣

 

Went back to ordering food delivery for like the next 5 years ; )
