Ping Glide 4.0 wedges - 2022 The American Express

Recommended Posts

$624 for a set of 3 wedges before tax. Don’t think I could.

And I think wedges are still the most poorly fit club in the bag. Never really that many good places to get fit for wedges. Certainly can’t hit them in a bay and know if they’re good for you or not.

Well, I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Golf Digest's price might be high -- think about it this way; they just came out with GFP, and it's $199 at retail.

My guess is Glide4 will be 169 at retail. Ninja flavour will be more.

And yes, that's me saying GD is overstating it.

Yeah it's 100% a typo by GD. These will not be $208 USD at retail.

Not sure if their source is GD, but another website is reporting $208 as well.

Excellent. These will be exactly what I am looking for.
I love the Glide3 wedges, and the only improvement I would have suggested for them is less offset & a stealth finish. Looks like that is exactly wait I will be able to get. Happy days.

Are we sure that article wasn’t in $CAD or something? GolfDigest had already pulled the article, and there’s archived traces of multiple different prices I can find when trying to dig that story back up. I’m wondering if it’s something like $208 CAD, $169 USD? One can only hope… either way, I’m holding out to see if there’s a stealth and what it looks in person. Glad I stock up on a couple extra 2.0’s though…

Looks odd at address - too roundish, too fat looking.

I wish they used the Eye 2 sole with the Stealth type head.

Disappointing.

They need a straighter leading edge and a more attractive look at address.

Mizuno T22 did it right - these are blah.

But on a positive note, they are about $50 less than a single i59 iron.

Give me a i59 type wedge set, not these overweight looking rounded blobs.

lol.

That's better, thanks, but lacks grind options. I like the original Forged more where Utley gave feedback. In the meantime, this fills the bill.

Not a fan of the shape.  Played 2.0 and 3.0 in the past.  I'm sure they'll put another light shaft in it too.  3.0 were good when I re-shafted them with DG S400 TI and added a few strips of lead tape.  Ping stock wedge shafts are too light IMO.

March 18th has been tossed around, but I'm not in the mood to get burned anymore. The 230s should have been announced by now, but they ain't.

Anymore, who knows. Maybe they're hoarding supply so they don't have a bad launch reputation?

Got a chance to hit these next to my Cleveland’s ZipCores. It was off mats So I couldn’t really get turf interaction comparisons but Feel was extremely comparable to my ZipCores. My toe miss, which is my tendency, felt a lot more muted/dense compared to the zipcore. Solid feeling wedges to be honest. Good look at address as well.

Next season of Squid Game. You have to pure a Zipcore wedge. If you don't, well...
