Much respect to how hard Shay has worked. Crazy to think what a unconvetional journey he has had so far. I have seen him finishing up a junior tournament late on a Sunday night and then head off to a early morning  Monday PGA Tour pre-qualifier ...... when he was only 15. He has already played a lot of competitive golf at so many levels. Congratulations to a very nice young man and his family.

KFT has had its first two events in the Bahamas to start the year running Sunday-Wednesday for some time now.

They (GC) used to televise the two Bahamas events. 1st time it's not televised.

The guy looked malnourished last year at Pebble. With this win hopefully he can buy some food and start eating. He should hang out with Bryson for a few days and learn how to eat.

Play golf Sunday through Wednesday and party in the Bahamas Thursday through Saturday.  I like the cut of their jib down at the KFT.

Thought PGA tour cards are awards to 25 top point leaders on regular korn ferry tour ending / 25 point leaders for korn ferry tour finals and not just winners? He got a bunch of points for the win but could easily tank for a series of tournaments and even out.

 

I'd like to see him on the pga tour but probably would of done much better going to college for a year or two with his talent. He tanked jumping up after high school.

I'd be shocked if he doesnt end up on the PGA tour in the next year or two.

He could in theory, but for the most part a single win and a few top 20s finishes will get you there points wise. He is much more likely to get his card than not IMHO. If he get's a top 3 it's almost a sure bet
