Suggestions for a Players Hybrid?

I am currently gaming a 20.5° Titleist 915 Hd. Looking to upgrade and get something new that is similar in looks and performance. Would like to hear what everyone is currently gaming and how it compares? Any input is appreciated.

21 degree ts2 turned down. Ventus blue 9x. Whatever head you get, put a ventus hybrid in it.

Agree with this.  Ventus blue is it.  
 

ts2 or ping g410-425.  They have flat settings on lie angle. Which really is nice.  Sim max is also good if you get a tour one, they usually have hotmelt added in the toe which makes them less left bias.

I went back to my 816 H1. Newer isn’t always better just remember!

I’m still playing my Titleist 818 H1 and see no reason to change it. Fills the gap between my 4 iron and 3 wood, is forgiving and doesn’t go left. 
 

What are you hoping to gain from the change? Distance, distance control, forgiveness or just a new toy?

I don't want to hijack this thread but was going to post a similar question regarding new vs used (older hybrid).  My razr fit xtreme 7wd is on its last season I think, so I'm in the market for something as well.

 

Hybrids are meant to fill a yardage gap in the bag.  How many years back could someone go and still see similar results in a hybrid?  Any driver that is 5yr old with proper fitting will preform very similar to a new driver, driver technology is maxed out for the most part.  Is this true of hybrids?

I recently starting using the Cobra King Tec hybrid (I actually won it here on the site), and honestly it's the best hybrid I've ever played.

 

It's slightly larger than the one I had before, but I love how it looks at address and it is very "anti-left" which is always a plus with a hybrid. 

 

FWIW I have a Ventus Black 9TX in it. The thing is a rocket!

Mainly just something new. This club has been played a lot and I would just like to upgrade. I know seven years isn’t too old for a club, but I just think it’s time for a new one. Just seeing if there’s anything comparable. I’ve heard the Apex Pro is a pretty good hybrid as well.

There haven't been any significant improvements for hybrids in a long time which is why I still have mine which is over 10 years old.  I just ordered a Ventus Black 9TX to replace the first gen thump.  😁

For players hybrid I would go:

Tsi3

Apex 21 Pro

Ping G425

SIM2

I currently play the G425. Of the 4 above it has a more rounded shape and I find more forgiveness.

I play a TSi3 and SIM2 hybrid, both with Ventus Black. Before these the last hybrids I really loved were TaylorMade 2009 Rescue TP's.

Lots of good options out there. For forgiveness Pings are an excellent choice. I like the adjustability and looks of Titleist hybrids but others have caught up. Haven’t hit Callaway or Taylormade hybrids. Good luck.

I had a 915hd 20.5, it was very decent, I can’t remember why I sold it but regretted it.

 

I then by chance picked up a second hand 816 h2 from eBay, it’s great and has stayed in my bag for ages now.

I have a TSi2 18* for the last 10 months, and am testing the King Tec 17* for WRX (AD IZ 95x). Both are more forgiving than my previous 818h2 and are great for avoiding the left miss but the King Tec has a sound/feel that is more muted and closer to the h2 IMO; I would recommend more people throw that one in the mix if not opposed to a slightly larger footprint.

Mavrik Pro. Shaped a tad more like a fw to me. Didn’t go left and was very workable. Either that the TSi3 or G425.
