How many gloves do you go through a year?

I use Fit39ex gloves, which are not leather, and they last me over 50 rounds.  For me, I wear through them at the base of the palm where the butt end rests.  I stopped using leather gloves due to the slimy feeling I get when it's hot out.

Go through 3 boxes of Kirkland gloves a year.  The sizing on them isn't perfect so I generally order a few extra boxes and return the ones where the sizing is off.  Works out to $7 a glove

Used to go through a lot more before I just started using tape to wrap up fingers where I wanted some comfort. Or to reduce wear. Buy whatever's on sale for range work and then whatever FJ cabretta for when I have an important or tough round coming up. Probably not more than 5-6 a year.

+1 on the Finger Ten gloves.  I used to go through lots of gloves, especially in the summertime. However, since switching to these gloves I've had the same two for over 6 months now and still going strong.  They are rain gloves and took a little getting used to the feel, but once you do your wallet will thank you.  You will never go back to a leather glove.  I hit balls everyday and play a couple times a week and the two I bought are still in great shape.  Im typically a M-L in a normal glove and use a M in the Finger Tens to give you some context on their sizing if you wanted to give them a try.  HTH

Are your hands fairly slender, or a bit wider?

Their sizing chart is wild, I don't have long fingers, but it suggests I'd be smaller than a S when I typically play M-L or a L.  I'd be worried about going down to M in case they're too tight.

I found my typical size a little to big with the fingers ten gloves so I ordered the M.  It’s a snug fit at first but overtime will loosen.  Order a couple of singles in different sizes and see which size works best for you. You can always send the other one back. My hands are on the wider side due to arthritis in my fingers.

Bionic gloves last 4 times as long as any other.  I rotate one with Footjoy sta softs.

This. And 4x is probably an underestimate.

I live in the South, sweat a ton, play 160 rounds a year, and practice a lot.  And I go through almost NO Bionics in a year.

I wear the ones with the synthetic back in the summer and switch every 6 holes or so, and use all leather in the cooler weather.  When I stop using them, it’s usually because they just look bad; they never get crusty and stiff or wear thru like other gloves.  Occasionally, one will split along a seam, but that’s after a LONG time.

And that doesn’t even touch on the padding, which is highly addictive.

I'm in the minority.  Never use a glove, never have.  I grew up dirt poor in Appalachia and had to scrap together money to play the game.  Hand-me-down clubs, caddying, picking up balls out of snake infested hazards, etc...  A golf glove was a luxury.  If you never played with one, you never miss it.

Old leather grips got tacky when they were wet, but the early rubber ones were difficult to use in the humidity.  All my clubs now have MCC grips and I don't have slippage issues.

4-5 gloves covering April to November. I only use rain gloves and I don't know why.

-2+ Range sessions during the week

-2 Rounds per day on both Saturday and Sunday

The gloves get used a lot, but I also take care of them too. Washing them when necessary to prolong their life and also taking them off between shots. Usually I will have a regular play glove, when it gets a little tattered, that goes to the practice glove. Then the rotation slowly begins.

Like the title says, how many gloves do people usually go through a year.  If you're a heavy glove user, is there somewhere you go to for good deals on bulk gloves?

I probably go through 8-10 gloves a season (late May - late Oct).  I hit the range a lot, hit a lot of balls, and just wear them out quickly.  Sometimes I manage to find clearance 2-packs of Taylormade Strata gloves at Canadian Tire (I'm in Canada if that wasn't obvious), but there is another go-to for people to get bulk gloves?

I can't bring myself to spend $30 a pop for nice/graphic gloves just to wear through them in a couple weeks.  The clearance 2-packs end up being about $7CAD a glove, but hard to find.  For comparison, at full price a basic FJ glove would be about $15-20 here.

Every once and awhile Golftown has the TP performance glove on for 4 for 3. I find they last a lot longer. If not the Costco Kirkland gloves are pretty decent and cheap, don’t last as long but definitely the best bang for your buck.

I get about 60 rounds in a year and normally use FJ WeatherSof or FLX gloves.  I always keep two in rotation (3 in the summer months) and will typically go through 6-8 gloves each year.

Found a 4 Pack of Cobra PUR gloves on Ebay in my size a little bit ago on the extremely cheap. Luckily, I have smaller hands than most so I won them for a steal. They're holding up incredibly (3 - 4 ish rounds on each glove and slim to NO wear) and I'm rotating them every round. I am the most happy with them out all the gloves I've used.

I don't use gloves at range sessions much. So I'll give my input of the last few sets I've owned:

1. Kirkland - Decent at best initial quality. Maybe get a round or two and then they're trash. Garbage. Throw it away. But, they don't fit perfectly. The more play you have in the glove, the more the stretch and movement, and ultimately, a crap glove based on longevity. Would recommend to a new player or the "new glove every round but plays PXG everything" guy.

2. Taylormade Tour Preferred Glove - Perfect Fit. Perfect feel. Lack of life as they are one of the thinnest gloves.

3. Titleist Players and Permasoft - Equivalent to Taylormade TP above. A shade thicker than Taylormade Gloves, thusly an extra round or two out of them per glove.

4. Srixons Men Cabretta Glove - On the thicker side but good fit. Problem I had this these is the excess material meant excess play in the club grip with glove. I never really felt like I had the most control out of the club, if that makes sense. These are decent gloves though.

5. Callaway Dawn Patrol - Excellent glove for fit and durability. Velcro wore out very fast. But the fit, durability, etc was very good.

6. Mizuno Elite Glove - Not a bad glove but, mine stretched out fast. Due to poor fit, it didn't hold up well and allowed for a lot of play and wear patterns accelerated.

7. MG Golf - I outright recommend these to everyone from the new duffer to that plus handicapper. They have a lot of helping and backing. Fit is perfect.

50 ish rounds per year, probably about 10 gloves a year.

Summers in South TX are brutal and I always make sure I have about 3 gloves in the bag to rotate through during the round with a new one available in case of emergencies.

I'm also a bit nutty and have to feel like I have a secure grip on the driver or else it really messes with my head, so I change gloves probably more than necessary.
