If you're going to reshaft, put something in that you like. Don't be half-hearted about it. It's also a good chance to think about getting shaft lengths that fit you, but remember that the 9i in that set is probably closer in loft to your modern PW, so you may want a modern PW shaft length, rather than a modern 9i shaft length.

Disclaimer:  I'm a fan of reshafting to make use of clubs.  Display sets aren't my thing.

I agree.  I like these for sentimental reasons but if they are hard on my elbows, wrist and back then I’m hardly ever going to use them.  I can throw the steelfibers in them and actually enjoy them.

Yeah, I’ll definitely keep the lofts in mind as I’m building the set.  I’m going to go from pitching wedge to 56 (no lob or gap wedge) for this set, so I’ll have two less wedges than normal, and may even play them as a half set that I can easily carry.  I got a Tony pena driver, 3 wood and 5 wood to play with also.  I’ve got an old bullseye putter I may use some, but I also may use the putter my dad gave me.  The snow is finally, for the most part, melted so I can try the putter on a real green tomorrow.  If it doesn’t make the main bag I’ll definitely use it in the retro bag, but if it does I’ll use the bullseye just to have something else in the mix.
