Has anyone heard if the TM foundry will continue to make these?

Most Vice balls are produced by Foremost (Taiwan). Taylormade entered into a partnership with Foremost in 2019 which likely means that they purchased a stake to permanently reserve capacity. Nassau (South Korea), which produced core/mantle assemblies for TM since the mid-2000s, was fully acquired by TM late last year. Nassau is likely to stop future production for DTCs with exception to Snell, but TMs partnership with Foremost did not appear to impact the larger customers like DSG, Wilson, and Vice aside from hogging some capacity.

The shade edition maybe?

ah yes, could be the shade. Way better than the red to me, much easier to see.

I was gifted 5 dozen of these.

Normally played Pro-Vs and TP-5s and I've been pleasantly surprised.  I use a new ball (or sometimes more) every round and do notice a little more wear and tear through 18 vs the "big boys" but they seem to be cheap enough that I don't feel the need to extend play beyond 18 - will probably stick with them.

I’ve been playing the tours but might jump up to the Pro Plus next time around. Any idea how often they run the buy 5 get 1 free deal?

Does the splatter pattern have any effect on performance?

Not that I've noticed.  I have some of the Drip Navy/Orange on White Pro +s that act the same as the normal ones.

Really big fan of the Orange/Yellow Shade ones though.  Super easy to find in the twilight hours I've been playing to beat the heat.

I've played a few boxes of the splatter.  I don't notice a different in performance, but they do seem harder to see in the air/grass.  They tend to look a bit "brown".

Am currently testing out both the Pro and the Pro + with the splatter. I have noticed that I am hitting some shots "fat". Now that always happens to some degree (hey, what can I say) - but I am noticing that it is occurring "more often" than normal and in good flat lies in the fairway and also for an iron/hybrid off the tee.

Only played a few rounds at this point - but it has been noticeable. Guy I play with all the time also made a comment about the same observation. Maybe a depth perception issue - not sure - but interested if anyone else has noticed this issue?

As attested here, the balls must be good.  But beware of customer service.  IF you you any problem with your order, it will be a big problem.  I ordered the Pro in red.  It came in orange.  They would not exchange without me paying the postage back to Germany.  I did so regretably.  Then the balls sat in German customs for a month.  Vice did not want to send me the correct balls until they received them.  Then my balls finally come.  They only send my 5 dozen when I bought the promo 6 dozen for 5.  The 6 dozen is what I received the first time but not the replacement.  I ordered my balls in early April.  Now it is June and the order is yet to be complete.

Just get them at walmart

Switched from playing Callaway Chrome Soft and Bridgestone B330s to the Vice Pro Plus Lime

Every bit as good as any tour ball I have played and the spin is phenomenal on approach shots.

I prefer the Lime color because it is very easy to see, and it keeps the ball hawks at my local muni from just grabbing any ball they see in a fairway.

Either way, love the color options and the money I have saved and they are just as durable as any other “pro” golf ball.

The lime green one just glows, so easy to see out there.

Have they improved the lime durability?  I tried it 2 years ago and the green came off too easily for my liking.  Ball looked pretty beat up after a few holes.

Seems to be pretty durable, I've played full rounds with one ball, and it holds up pretty well.

Yes, the new model is much more durable than the old model.

BRIGHT! Easiest ball to see on the market. I use them in the fall/winter because they contrast against the dormant grass so well.

Do you prefer the white vice over the lime in summer when everything is at its greenest?

Yes, it’s a little too bright for me in the summer time. Not that I couldn’t get used to it, but I normally buy when they run their 5 + 1 free special. I normally order 4dz white and 2 dz Lime.

Speaking of colors, are we sure the vice balls are evenly coated?

I'm guessing based on the patterns they offer that the colors on the vice ball is painted on, and not added as a dye in the cover material.

I saw a video today from the titleist testing facility, and a difference in thickness of 1/1000 of an inch, less than a human hair, can have significant effect on ball flight.

I cannot answer to the finish but I can tell you that, since using the Lime ones, it literally flies the same as any other tour ball I have used that is geared towards lower spin on drives and long irons and higher spin on wedges.

I would be interested in what Titleist considers to be "significant" because if the color is doing something to the flight on the ball or the spin, I cannot tell at all, so I would say that it is nowhere near significant at all.

Maybe next round I will just play 3 different balls off the box and then take the best one and play 3 into the green to compare if I see any major difference and am not just judging through Lime tinted glasses 😄

Vice balls are made in the same factory that TaylorMade and Maxfli balls are made. The other site tested Vice and Maxfli and the quality and consistency is very good.

I found these to be a nice comp to Pro v1 for a cheaper price. They spin less and feel better than Kirklands but I did notice they get scuffed and marked up very quickly. The durability over the course of a season might not stack up to a premium tour ball. But hey, If you’re an amateur losing 1-2 balls per round, I guess that’s not as important anyhow.

A friend found one of the orange/yellow shade balls on the course and gave it to me cause he knows I like slightly goofy looking balls like the Srixon Divide.

I like it. I named it "Tequila Sunrise." 🙂
