It's so great to see Hideki has kept the Srixon driver in play, and he is winning with it! 

 

Usually by now he had switched over to the new TM driver.

Check the hosel adapters on his driver(s).  Those are not "stock".  They must be older model ones, or custom hosel adapter sleeves to help reduce loft on the driver even more and change face angle.

The shaft was a used pull he bought off here at WRX BST trying to save a few bucks, and had too much tip prep.  I normally use a lap of black electrical tape to conceal excess tip prep, but Hideki used a lap of lead tape.   Nothing to see here, carry on ! 🤣

That 5 wood looks so nice, same one ge used coming down 72 hole at ZOZO seems like the 5 is draw bias and 3 is fade bias

Love the use of lead tape at the hosel and below the grip.

 

I really wish Cleveland had released RTX4 Forged like that as that 56* grind is right up my street. Pretty funky 3-way grind on the lob wedge, but I'd like to try it.

 

Anyone know what shaft he plays in his irons? As he's got a AD-DI 10TX in his 5w, I'm assuming he just drops a steel bar into his irons?

S400s are pretty stout, but after seeing the shafts in his woods, I was sort of betting on the DG X7s. I guess it's more of a weight and heft thing for him?

Yeah, a "feel" thing maybe, S400s are pretty weighty ( a few grams more than X100 IIRC). That said, he transitions VERY hard and I would think that the X100 would have been in the irons. But what do I know, he's on TV winning The Masters and stuff, I'm pounding a keyboard and posting useless commentary on his iron shaft choices LOL!

Bi-level soles on the irons have been ground off.  There are two 7 irons in the bag and the older one clearly has the bi-level sole.

 

Lead tape under the grip used as a counter weight on a few clubs. 

 

Smallest of small pieces of lead tape on the back side of head and hosel on the 56* wedge.

What hosel adapter sleeves are those in his Driver(s)?!  They are longer looking and I would guess get the lofts to where they are needed.  I wish something like that would be available for the "mortals" who need to knock down the loft on that driver more than the 1^ they currently allow on their retail version.

I think this is a perfect example of matching bend profiles from a feel standpoint. Hideki is clearly pretty hyper specific about his setups with everything tuned down to the last gram, both in terms of swingweight and total weight, and the fact that he constantly tinkers with wood shafts but ultimately comes back to the core AD-DI/S300 combo means there is something there for him. And if we look at bend profiles:



The AD-DI and S300 are an extremely close match, whereas the X100 and X7's mentioned are much stiffer in that lower mid/upper tip area:
