Uneekor EYE Mini

Recommended Posts

I just came across the live from GSV YouTube channel. Seems like a GC3 contender has entered the chat!

From the pic it looks like the data measured is:

ball speed

launch angle

launch direction

backspin

side spin

Club speed

smash factor

Club path

Angle of attack

It’s interesting they are using only two infrared cameras instead of the three of the gc3.
Let’s hope all the data is available at base price!

I'm liking the looks of this!  Hopefully they undercut Foresight in $.

My wild guess based on zero evidence is that it will be priced somewhere between 4k-5k.  Cheaper than the 7k GC3, but more expensive than 2000 Skytrak/Mevo Plus.  Uneekor will want to stake out that middle territory while challenging the Full Swing Kit.

If they can magically get it down to 3k, they can take my money.

I had never really heard of Uneekor until doing some research into launch monitors. Are they reliable?

Being in Australia, the GC3 is around $11k AUD which is unjustifiable for me. Depending on the availability and pricing, this could be an awesome buy.

Uneekor is a big time name in the golf Sim space. Tons of users use the QED(requires dots on balls) and EYEXO(No dots required).

They are every bit as accurate as a GCquad.

Thanks for your reply. it sounds promising to me. Fingers crossed this might make its way to Australia, and potentially has an iOS app etc. Time to get reading I think.

If this is a gc3 competitor and and not quad I’m all in!  Fingers crossed🤞

Unless they change their business model for this release, their software license should be very consumer friendly compared to others in the space.

Its almost like people like to pay for hardware that works without it being tied to a gouging annual subscription. Hope that all these brand look at what's going with Peloton and adjust accordingly.

In this video the rep states that there is an ipad app that can be used, and that the model shown is a prototype only, so it may look a little different when released. Wouldnt surprise me if this was still another 1-2 years away.

From the other thread, I posted:

“I noticed there was an Eye XO in the ceiling while they are demoing the Eye mini? Data cable going to the mini? Is it conceivable the mini doesn’t yet work and they have the data generated from the Eye XO piped into it?”

I am hoping more details come out about this as a lot of people like the EyeXO/QED very much and gives great, accurate data.  It's funny to me that the chassis for both the GC3 and EYE mini are similar.  If they can get around $3k like the BLP is without the software and can just use their IGNITE or whatever this new iPad software is, they have a big winner.  I was saying the other day that in the next 5 years they sim hardware is going to be drastically different and come in at much lower prices.

I think the holy grail will be something similar to this with maybe an extra club data point or 2 and open to your software of choice will be huge.

It should be compatible with GS Pro, which has a very reasonable pricing model compared to some other sim software.

Yea they seem to be embracing any software that their customers might want to use.  I hope they come in under $5k for this one, if not then not sure how they compete with GS3 considering Foresight's accuracy especially indoors.

This would make a great birthday gift to myself in June😃 That timeline may be wishful thinking though?  What's everyone's thoughts on production time and a launch date for a product like this?

This was a just a prototype.  There's a small chance it might go into production and on the market before the end of the year but more than likely it'll be next year.  Fingers crossed.

Ya like I said ,wishful thinking.  But a lot of the process should be second nature to Uneekor. They already produce (or oversee the production of, not sure which) a very similar product.  So you wouldn't think parts suppliers and production would be major stumbling blocks for them.  They could already have a head start on these things.  But again, I'm just thinking out loud. I have no prior experience with these kinds of things.

This looks promising!!! As much as I (and everyone) would love to have the face-to-path and club data like GC Quad in a sub $4k price range; I would just settle for ACCURATE ball data in a new device (like an old GC2) in the $2500 range.  Add some basic club data like AOA or path and bonus!!!

Really looking forward to hearing more on pricing on this. We are building a new house this year, and this could be a real contender to make it into the man cave. I'm a lefty, so the downside is moving the unit when I have friends over to golf, however if it is a decent amount cheaper then the overhead units, I think this could be the winner.

No real intention to take it for outdoor use, but always good to have the option.

We seem to be getting screwed on pricing on all things golf in Australia at the moment so hopefully this comes out at a price I can stomach. Under $7k AUD and I think I'm all in.

Any existing Uneekor eye users have any feedback on performance at high balls speeds?

My driver ball speed hovers around 175-180 and want to make sure whatever unit I get is going to read properly at higher speeds.

Sounding like it could be available in the 4th quarter this year.  Couldn't find any pricing but from what I've read, it'll likely be close to GC3 pricing, which kinda sucks.  Hoping they come in lower.

depressing if true the price will be on par with GC3.  Isn't their overhead unit the same price as GC3?  But the mini will have a few less data points than their other products.  So my hope is it will be somewhat less than a GC3.

Does anyone know when they will release pricing info or pre-orders?  August?  September?

The EyeXO is about 2k more than GC3.
