Best Driving iron for the money

It’s hard to find bargains in the golf world these days so I thought I would share. This is definitely one. I hit every DI I could get my hands on over the last month. The tour edge was as good as anything else and I actually prefer the feel and sound of this above most others. It has that hot “hollow” springy feel off the face I want in a DI. Profile is medium sized and not too chunky. Not to mention it’s literally half the price of the callaway I was considering. $130 brand new. Highly recommend this one if you’re in the market for a DI

I feel the same way about my Sub 70 699U. It’s nice to know there are a couple of companies out there giving those of us with tighter budgets good quality equipment.

Love my NLU-01.  Performs just as good as any UDI out there IMO without burning a hole through my wallet.

Tour edge has always been low key. I played a bazooka 2 back in competition days. Then the Bridgestone airmuscle came out

@Stinger83 You should do a full write up after you get some more time with it. Great looking stick and the titanium cup face as piqued my interest. How's it off the deck?

When I was was looking at driving irons, I ended up grabbing a Honma TW-X 3 iron. Brand new for $70. Not as forgiving as a chunky driving iron, but it's a great club.

Another vote for new level nlu-01. I got mine with the Ventus blue hybrid shaft for the price of the shaft alone brand new. Look out for sales on their equipment through discount codes on IG. I’ve seen a few in the bst here go for really good prices too

Sub70 699 Pro U has to be in the best value discussion with a stock shaft. $110 and the Hzrdus Smoke is great. New Level with the Ventus for the price is a heck of an upgraded deal. Lots of great options in this space without breaking the bank!

Yea i don't buy "one dimensional clubs" . I kind of have the same mindset with DI's as i do with fairway woods. It has to be comfortable off the deck first. I don't buy anything that's only a "tee club".

That's a great deal as well. Yea i've liked a lot of the irons i've seen from them

Anyone have any suggestions for a 17 or 18 degree DI type club that isnt too clunky and can be hit from the fairway, also available in LH lol.

I have exact same head shaft combo, lefty too, but it is not working for me unfortunately. For sure swing issue, but mishits are really bad. I got my Mx17 3 iron bended to 18* and it is so much more forgiving. I would recomend Mx17 3 or 4 iron as a budget UI to any mid handicapper.

I’ve always been a fan of the first 2 generations of the Tm UDI’s. I have a Tour Preferred 2 iron (18) in the bag and a RSI Tp 3 iron (20) in the back up bag.

That's actually a really nice looking driving iron! Too bad I'm a lefty.. Also there's just something about Tour Edge that doesn't match my persona. To me it would be like wearing a pair Skechers golf shoes. I'm sure they make good shoes, there just not my style..

For my money Xforged UT ‘18 I think it’s a good size and workable and even comes LH I believe
