Question about the bags of putters on the green.

 

these are just out there, players who are searching do they just come try out a few and if they like it they just take it and put it in the bag?

I’ve thought the exact same thing, I assume if they like it they can ask the rep and they probably have a couple of each?

Ive played this course last year. Great course. Fast greens and roll so true. First course i ever played out west im from the east and the different grass and sand and scenery was unforgettable.

Course is in great shape. But without the stands it loses some of the appeal. Beautiful for sure, but not among the most scenic courses in the area.

I'm pretty sure if they say they want it in the bag. Much cheaper to give a putter than a endorsement deal

I was wondering if he would be more receptive to a WITB now that he has signed with Srixon. He has a history of not giving companies free publicity when they don’t pay him.

He's on a woods and putter deal. Still has the Miuras and Artisan wedges like a boss.

Agreed. A couple years ago I played it the Tuesday following the tournament and although it was a bit noisy from the stands being taken down, nothing beats walking thru the tunnel to 16.

There are easily 10 courses within the area with better views or more fun tracks. Keep in mind this is a TPC course.

Quite a few very wayward drives. Hideki, Rahm and JT all spraying it but getting pretty much total relief by the desert. Prefer tighter courses, but the firmness of the greens is at least stopping them killing this course. Great tourney all round!

Many think the Champions course across the street is equally good, if not better. I think it’s become a little too trendy to dump on the Stadium course though. It’s an excellent course from a technical standpoint, lots of risk reward which I like.

 

We’re spoiled here in AZ, so yes, there are a lot of nearby courses which are more scenic if that’s your thing.
