It looks like the field is set and Alison Lee is the odd player out:

Entires

@18majorsAny insights on how those invitees (apart from Hinako Shibuno) were decided,

i.e. Xiaowen Yin(a), Momoko Ueda, and Emily K. Pedersen?

e.g. Xiaowen Yin DIDN't win last year's Women's Asia-Pacific Amateur Championships in Abu Dhabi? (she finished T16 at the WAAP)

Sorry, I’ve no idea other than knowing the agents make a big difference.

Yes, I expected Xiaowen Yin to win it routinely, but she struggled mightily.

Momoko Ueda backgrounder on her participation, somewhat off tangent...

LMAO....

You're just baiting me to say SMOKESHOW GIMMEE.🤣

FWIW...Alison Lee's mom is a SMOKESHOW....I didn't chat with her though...she walked by...wearing a huge brimmed visor....by the time I realized it was her...she was too far away.

Ryann O'Toole's mom is also attractive....Ryann's parents are very approachable.

Yealimi Noh has been a LPGA member for 1-1/2 seasons; she'd good moments but hasn't been what I expected of her based on her plays as an amateur in 2018 or as a Monday qualifier in 2019.

Her Achilles heel has been her putting; and it looks like she's doing something about it.

She's got a new LA Golf putter from Michelle Wie West, either as a gift or as a middle person.  Either way, it should be a good investment because she's been so bad that there's no way to go but up.

Although stats never tell the true picture...but Noh's lpga.com putter stats aren't that bad for 2021 or 2020.....I have not looked at the KPMG stats.

Maybe it's some lousy putting late in rd 4 when she's in contention for a win.

Maybe Yealimi will get more exposure here as she can contend for the weekly MOOSE along with Lexi and Brooke.

Although Noh's not short....from a LA Golf perspective....Noh should be hanging with Saudi DeShampoo...more distance is always a good thing.

What a STEAL....$1500 for a LA putter....LMAO.....watch out Scotty.

Although not a brand ambassador....I think Noh plays Cally clubs...Yealimi should also hang with Cally pro.....FIGJAM.....I'm sure Lefty can introduce Yealimi to The Shark.....I'm sure a $100M 7 year deal to be the SGL's Poster Girl would be a GREAT thing for Yealimi to help introduce more golfers to the game.

Super excited about 'The Players Series, Murray River' in Australia.  Hannah Green is tied with another three men for the lead at -15, but Grace Kim (-12) is only three behind in women's division.  Grace was way behind after two rounds; but she shot a 3rd round 64, five better than Hannah.  Grace is so talented, she could set the Epson Tour on fire this coming season.

Hannah can become the first woman in Australia to win the overall mixed event.

Was Hannah on some kind of offseason program that we really don't want to know about?  😮

Does drinking champagne 🍾 out of her shoe 👟  = count as a new thing?

https://www.golfdigest.com/story/hannah-green-vic-open-champagne-golf-shoe-drink/

This golf digest article isn’t recent (~May 2021), but mentions Hannah Green’s gym work/ efforts to improve fitness/ Driving Distance:

https://www.golfdigest.com/story/hannah-green-lpga-increases-distance-having-solid-2021-season/

Green laid the groundwork for success in 2021 with the start of her three-month offseason. She didn’t touch her clubs in January, focusing on regaining strength by hitting the gym. Green got into lifting six years ago and lifted as heavy as she ever had.

The Aussie then added new Srixon clubs to her bag when she began preparing for the season. Her drives popped off the face of her fresh ZX7 driver. She also added an inch to her driver’s shaft for further distance.

The work lets Green rip it 20 more yards off the tee from 2021 compared to 2020, vaulting her from 54th in average driving distance on the LPGA to 11th this season as she averages 277.8 yards.

It's an Australian thing called a "shoey".

Daniel Ricciardo does it when he is on the podium after a F1 race.

It has been around for decades.

Hannah has to be a favorite to win HSBC Singapore, she's in beast mode.  Not only she beat all male competitors, she crushed them.  Grace Kim didn't disappoint either:

1.        Hannah Green                             -20

T2.     Hayden Hopewell                        -16

T2.     Andrew Evans                              -16

T4.     Grace Kim                                     -15

The commentators  said on the coverage (Fox 503) that Hannah didn't like the taste of the shoey, yet she still did it again? Lol

But, it was a runaway victory for her... And I didn't recognize most of the guys playing other than her and Kim. Lol.

Who’s the other gal joining Hannah Green for the shoe-y celebration? Her caddie possibly?

Yup, Danny Ric is the one where I learned this thing from. Lol. Too much watching of F1, Aussie TV etc. At least the 36ers won tonight.
