I saw the new line today, full sets. The new p7mb I thought looked pretty good, it looked better than the p730 imo and that has been one of their best blades. It looked like the p730 from address but had a slimmer sole which I think is an improvement. I compare blades to the titleist blades and these looked almost the same as the 620 footprint. I think more pros will switch to these out of the 730.

The mc had more of a signature taylormade look from address with how they blend into the hosel.

Looking like the 730 is good. Though I’m skeptical it’ll see anymore tour adoption than the older p7mb

If they increased the bounce it might. The old one felt amazing but was quite sharp through the ground. Don't have bounce specs on the old P730 but having owned both I preferred 730 in almost every category aside from looks. Neither the 730 nor the P7MB (original) were particularly thin on top compared to say a 620 MB. I do find it odd that the sole is more narrow on both versions of MC compared to MB. On a side note I like the look of your bag setup! Thinking of dropping the gap wedge and going 47-53-59 - had one of my SM8s bent to 53 last year and already play my 60D at 59 so have been testing this winter and liking it. Idea being to add in a 3i along with my 19* UW. The UW just goes so far it's hard to gap it with a 4i unless I went for a P790 or something and even then the UW is so hot that it still might not keep up. Our course is only 7000 though so I suppose not a ton of need for a bunch of options at the top. Will have to experiment.

I feel like this thread kind of shows how poorly TM handled this release. I'm definitely going to get a set but I feel like they didn't market the MB/MC well this year. 770 and 790 will definitely sell well but even TXG said, as mentioned in this thread, that they have nothing to compete with the likes of T100, Cobra Tour, ZX7 etc. Kind of a weird miss tbh. Just not a lot of hype on the MB and MC for whatever reason.

I do find it odd how low the bounce is on the P7MC is compared to the MB. I’m considering the MC but waiting to see what PXG is up to. And thank you! Been some shuffling around to get to it to where it is. (More changes coming lol) Found I never really used my gap wedge so I dropped it and put a 3i in. I play such a variety of courses that I’d rather have top end options than an extra wedge that makes it more complicated.

I think the timing is also bad because of the woods release, couldn’t market the irons for long. I have wanted them to release something like the 17’ 770. Definitely feels like a gap in the lineup. I mean titleist has 6 irons, don’t think it’s too much.

I compared the p730 to the titleist mb pretty extensively back when they were both on the market and I thought the topline on the p730 and overall footprint heel to toe was very similar to the titleist mb which was rare for TM for what I had seem up to that point. In fact at that time I thought the p730 had a better look from the top. The only thing I didn't like about the p730 was the thicker sole and little bounce as you mentioned.

I was comparing the new p7mb to the 620mb last night and I thought they looked very similar again, like you could go with either. The thing I liked about the new p7mb vs the 730 was the sole, it was thinner and more traditional looking on a blade if that makes sense. I also thought the matte finish would hold up better than p730. It's a nice blade.

Here is the 770 4 vs the 7MC 5. About 5 yds shorter on the 5 and 5-10 on the 4 due to winter path/launch angle🫣. There's an obvious ball speed jump on the 770, but I've been impressed by how consistent both have been, especially spin and carry wise

interesting that the 4i is spinning that much. Looks like the P7MC 4i would be just fine. Was going to do a fitting but might just order with MMT125tx because I have some elbow soreness from other sports. If that doesn’t feel good after I’m used to it I’ll just go back to an old faithful shaft.

Oh it's 100% delivery on my end right now. Launching it several degrees higher than normal and dynamic loft is around 19 degrees, so not getting much lean. Interestingly I got fit on a Quad and my club has a Trackman, which has had issues lately picking up the club/face as it only 10-12 feet to the screen. During my fitting I was in the 4000 regularly so 🤷🏻‍♂️ who knows.

Did not unfortunately. They look amazing though. But when I saw my fitter's bag who is on staff and he went 3-4 770 and 5-PW, I didn't bother.

I’ve never played with a staff player who can break par they’re all too busy haha.

Edit:

Order placed for:

3, 4 770 .5 degree weak, 1 flat

5, 6 P7MC 1 strong, 1 flat

7-PW P7MB 1 strong, 1.5 flat

MMT 125TX +.25 long

will update with info when received

Part of my reasoning to go with the 770 at 4 (other than the sexiness) is that I can get some extra juice out of it ball speed wise and when my delivery isn't in winter form, I can carry it 225+. It gaps well with my next club up which is my 2Hy that I can carry 240+. Both those give me options on long par 3s and tight par 4s. I also sort of hate that I'm contemplating looking at a 3i 770 and 4i 7MC, but then again this is wrx.
