Probably in the minority but I prefer the backside of the 2020 model.  With that said we don't hit them from that side so I'll see how things go once I get my turn to hit them, but I don't anticipate enough of a change to make any sort of move.  I'm pretty dialed in with what I have right now.

Went to my local store today (not saying the name in case they can get in trouble) to pick up a glove and as always went to the hitting bays to mess around before checkout. Saw these lying there and snapped a couple pics covertly because I'm not sure if they're supposed be out. I'm not the biggest club wiz so I can't say if there's more or less offset, sole differences, etc... But the most obvious change to me was the P7MB facet shifting to the middle and being stretched out versus coming to a single point.

Agreed. It seems like the designers are going for a satin + gloss design and it looks more natural on the 790 than 770 IMO. I was expecting the MB to look a bit sleeker as well. I’m interested to hear about the tech though and to see if any tour staff change their bags.

Agreed I had to do a triple take to see where the differences were and to make sure it just wasn’t last year’s models

Muscle shape on the MB looks nice but that two-tone satin and chrome finish on the MB and MC is horrible imo

Early reports had it as a minor family tweaking. Not a fan of the triangle look but they will sell just fine if they perform (no reason to think they wont'). 

 

Biggest room for improvement would be making the MCs a bit more friendly to hit similar to OG 770s with a bit of the T in the long irons. 

 

Thinking they will launch in Dec now that demos are getting out there. 🙂

eh underwhelming first glance.  I can't imagine the tech is much different than the previous gen.   Maybe some minor CG location change, extra foam, blah, blah.  The 2020 line was so damn good there probably wasn't too much they could do with this one.  I'm sure it'll perform well though.

It means not as heavy. Lite and light have the same meaning.

p730 was a very popular mb for TM, I nearly got a set but the delay was too long so went elsewhere but it was the first TM iron that looked like a titleist blade from address who imo have some of the best profiles you can find in a mb. The p730 actually looked slightly better than the titleist mb at the time and the flight was great. Basically just a homerun mb iron for TM. 

 

I never hit or held the p7mb but I've heard they made foot print bigger, thicker topline moved cg around etc. I can see why they stayed in p730 if you have access to them. Word gets around on tour fast.

This is wild.  I was looking at that first pic thinking, this is the current line.  Why would he post these lol.  Nice find and thanks for the pics.  Definitely just a progression from the previous gen then.  That's fine by me.  Hard to reinvent the wheel every year or two. Now, if they just release the raw version of the P7MC right away instead of waiting until the end of the product life cycle that would be badass.

Hmm, not sure people will get hyped up about these. The past p7mc and mb werent flying off the shelves so most people will probably skip over this minor revision in favor of TM’s next radical design change

Lite fitting heads are physically lighter, to be used with overlength shafts and lightweight shafts (e.g., light graphite or ladies flex) to maintain swingweight consistency.

Honestly I prefer the looks of my '20 P7MCs, still one of my favorite irons I've ever gamed.
