I shot his putter because of the training aid he had on the face.  If you're the slightest but off center with contact it will cause the ball to veer off.

It’s a magnet on his gamer

 

 

**** correction- it sticks on the face using double sided tape.

Looks like an exercise in frustration... I understand these guys are good, like really good, but I question the mental confidence benefit of using a training aid that has such unpleasant consequences... seems to me that one would really start to steer it instead of relaxing and letting it flow.  I wonder what a psychologist would have to say about the benefits of positive/negative feedback

Yeah I was thinking that too.  I’ve seen studies that show the optimal training is approximately 30% failure rate, 70% success rate.  You get enough feedback from the 30% failures that you learn how to improve, but not so many failures that it ruins your confidence and you get frustrated.
