Can just imagine the look on the Tour Rep Face if he came in to get fitted. I’m curious how many Stiff Shafts the vans carry in total for woods lmao.

I remember when we were on the range Tuesday back in 2010, one of the other tour pro’s said “you know Alan, Titleist has actually made some new clubs in the last decade”… “Wait, are you serious?! I need a new rep.”

And you’re right, the equipment trucks didn’t have any stiff shafts.

This guy is one of the best in South Florida.  Don't think this is an one off.  38 pga tour events played including at least two PGA championships.  I played with him where he shot 63 and I was outdriving him by 40 yards.

Wow thats sick man. Love that. Hope he hangs this weekend!!!

- Something that continues to go long off the tee in the fairway
- Something that is a fairway finder when needed and long
- Something that high, consistent and helps with par 5’s
-  Something to help with long par3’s and short par 4’s

-  Something metal, lots of them and go the gaps I need
- Something metal, 2x of them and helps me 120y and in
- Putters - limited rotation because I cannot afford misses

Golf is what you make of it.  Play grateful and accepting. We are all lucky to have it.

Rather than expecting lets all try and appreciate instead.
Treat people the way you want to be treated

Is that a RBZ non-tour 3 wood on an R11 stock fairway shaft - stiff flex?  Those retail heads were so hard to hit!  Amiright?

I love those hybrids, still regret the day I sold mine (mint) for $50 and have yet to find a better club for that gap.

There's a lot of honesty or zero BS in his bag. Knowing GolfWrx guys, I'd say 75% to 90% need a bag more like this. Funny as it may be, this guy's bag is really close to Webb Simpson's bag. If you all haven't seen that, take a peek. Gave me the idea to put a 5H with a steel shaft in the bag this winter. I love it so much I'm actually mentally toying with the idea of a 6H in the bag. My Par 3 scoring last year was my worst statistical category and that because I played a lot of holes where a 4/5/6 iron were needed. My wedges and putting often saved my par 3 scoring.

That's just my correlation to this bag. Why hit clubs that you can't hit when there's plenty of forgiveness out there. Just need to set the pride aside and be honest with yourself.

Cheers!  🍻

Great post!! Your last paragraph says it all IMHO--- See my signature--- I also did one change today I added an. old laminate PB 7 wood today that is around 27* pulled the 6 iron out. Yep being 64 years old with a back injury I had to put the man card away and play what will work for me. I carry the 5&7 irons because I do a lot of bump and run chips.

Add me to the list of lots of hybrids.  I have 3-5 hybrids now for a couple reasons.  One, I don’t get to practice to play as much because I have two young kids (almost 5 and 2.5).  Two, lofts have gotten so strong on irons, especially in GI irons, that it’s hard for me to fathom hitting a 22-24* 5 iron.  I had a hard time with those when they were 4 iron’s and I’m a hair short of 40.  I was always hesitant to get a 5 hybrid for many reasons, lots of it ego I’m sure.  However, I have the Mizuno CLK’s 2020 3-5 and man these are great. I have a HARD time making them go left because they sit so square and flat.

Two great shots with the 5 keep making me come back to it.  I played twice now with a 1 handicap who hits it about as far as me and there is a par 3 that plays 187-190 uphill.  Each time I hit my 5 hybrid.  Each time he hits his 5 iron.  Small sample size, but he went bogey bogey and I’ve gone Birdie Par with the 5H.  It’s only a couple shots here and there but it makes a difference to have confidence hitting that v. Traditional 5 iron.  If I have 185-195 yards now I’m liking to hit the 5H now and have confidence in that shot.

I will say I’m not striking it well enough at the moment where I could probably have 2 hybrids and tweak them a degree to two here and drop one, however, I don’t know what club I’d add in it’s place.

Side note - what does Alan Morin have these hybrids set at? 17-20-24?  Something like that it appears?
