what do people think?
i'm thinking about picking one of these up. i'm waying a lot of options right now. i'm strugeling with my t-40 tour off the deck. i've considered a nike t-60 and a tm v-steel, but then thought maybe i should consider a hybrid. i love my 18* nike pro combo utility iron and maybe a 16* utility would be a nice answer for a 3-wood.

my uncle had one and hooked the living crap out of it

the dual is a hook machine too? i thought that was just the rescue mid. i thought the dual, with the adjustable weights didn't have that problem?

You can only put the standard Rescue Dual on two settings with the weights you get. MEGA-HOOK or neutral. It launches quite high which is good if you have a problem with loft but isn't a massive advance over the Rescue Mid.

Thr rescue duals are fantastic.

Those who state here that they are "hook" machines don't say anything about the person swinging the club. That may have a little to do with the "hooks".

I play a TP 19 Dual - straight as an arrow (when I am putting a decent swing on it) in the 8-8 neutral settting.

Launches just perfect for me.

I seriously doubt that TM would release a notorious hook-machine - I think a lot of these hooks has to do with how You align the club. If it really sits square to target - it seems open for You at address.... :)

I am no expert but I think there are several versions of the T.M. rescue. The Rescue, Rescue Mid, Rescue Dual, and Rescue Dual TP.

I own a Rescue Dual TP. AS far as I know it is the only one of the lot with the moveable weight system. I may be wrong. At any rate I really like mine. The only other hybrid experience I've had is with Hogan CFT's they were o.k. but in my opinion the Dual TP is much better.

i think that just like any other club the shaft really has a lot to do with whats happening to the club. those stock shafts that come in the regular rescue mid and rescuse dual are just garbage. the diamana in the TP dual however seems to work very well with my swing and the neutral set-up i have palys very nicely for my game. although it does tend to hit the ball a little but, but as long as it's straight i'm not complaining.

P.S. stevemac how did you get your rescue to have that solid finish? what type of paint did you use? either or it looks awesome and i'd definately be hitting you up on the BST if i didn't have one myself

I have to concur by saying the Diamana 73h in the TP version is AMAZING. By far one of the best hybrid shafts you can get.

I have a new version tour on sale in BST-solid finish-

thats nice looking, but it appears to be 19* and i'm looking for a 16*, although i'm reconsidering and instead going with at tp in 14*. or maybe, i just whore it up, and get both :)

i agree about the shaft. i'm looking at the steel shafts, and the dg s300 lite seems to spec out the same as the dg s300 but lighter. i will also consider shafting with a rifle hybrid. i just prefer the weight and feel of steel.

okay, so after some more work and fact gathering into this subject, i think i am going to go with the tp model instead. i am not fighting the right side of the fairway, rather the left side. i understand that both models sit square, but the non tp has more offset than the tp, making it more draw bias. i figure with the tp, any help i need i can fix with adjusting the weights.

now the question is, do i go with the 14* or the 16* and swap my 18* utility with a 20* utility?

I also have the rescue dual TP. The only time that I have ever hooked it is when i drop my right foot back to much to try to draw and I get it it to far back and I hook it. So it is not the club it is the swing. I bought mine to get between the 3 wood and the 3 iron. I think most people use them to replace one of the long irons. I have no complaints yet. I have only had it about three months and have never hit another hybird so I can not do any comparision.

I can't say I am a fan of the newer ones...I much prefer the older Rescue-Mid TP to the new Rescue duals and TP's...

well, i was just at edwin watts looking at them, and some 3-woods. i like the dual tp the most. sits pretty square (maybe slightly closed, but it was more obvious in the non tp and the rescue mid) also like the "v style" sole. the guy at the store told me the tp has a higher center of gravity compared to the non tp model. also, said if i am looking for a lower trajectory look at the steel (which i am) and get different weights for the club. sounds good. i'm not worried about trajectory as much. i want this as a 245+ club off the deck going at greens. pretty sure i'm gonna go with the 14*.
