Yes, one has 5 gram weights the other has 2.5s

Given his stance on equipment from past interviews, at this point DJ prob just walks up to the putting green 10 mins before his tee time and goes like "I dont know man this one looks cool" and just goes with it.

So true.  I remember an interview when he added the Spider and won a couple.  When he was asked about the change in grip he said "I don't know man, it just feels better.  I don't even know what brand it is" hahahaha.

 

He also wouldn't allow a TM rep adjust his driver the other year because it would never be back in the same spot.  He has no clue!

FWIW the new Spiders roll great. Don't look to good but they put a nice roll on it.

I have been rolling the new spider GT putters.. I am really liking them. I think they are a good mix or techy and traditional looks.

 

i am really trying to decide on a putter and which I want to commit to. These are on a short list.

Kinda refreshing in a way in this day and age of guys over analyzing every single bit of available data. Just DJ being DJ.

My guess is they are different lengths. DJ is rolling a pretty long putter right now at 37” and may be new for him. The Bandon with 5 gram weights is likely .5” shorter than the one with 2.5 gram weights to keep the swing weight similar between the two.

I have been digging the looks of these too. The only thing that gets me is they are a little smaller than I was expecting and the hosel is surprisingly close to the middle for a slant neck. Really nice take on the #7 fang shape though. Just wish it was a little bigger with more toe hang.  I need a fang putter in the mix. Will either be this or the White Hot #7 CH for me this year.
