I was actually at ping last summer doing my pld fitting when they were finishing his putter up for him. I watched for about ten minutes or so as the milling machine was going to town. Was pretty cool

Wish that Project X would do a Small Batch release of that Bi-Matrix with those graphics! 

 

Still hasn't move away from the Glide 2.0 TS. One of the best lob wedge grinds I've used.

Unfortunately the retail PLD program is Anser, Anser 2, Tyne 4, and DS72 only.  No deep wide Anser

It's available through the PLD Custom line though. I'm definitely getting a PLD Anser D or Anser X.

Bubba actually still gets them custom made each time he needs a new set. Apparently his are extra special cuz the grooves are manually machined (something like that)

I knew he had his grips built up a lot but those things are stretched to the max.  Lots of interesting touches through the bag. The do not touch label on the driver cover is awesome.

What is the difference between Anser D and Anser X?

The sole grind on his 8i looks different from the retail version as well. Looks like they've taken something off the sole towards the heel.

Anser 2D is a wider larger footprint anser. Anser X is the same depth as the traditional Anser but a double bend shaft, no plumber's or flow neck.

Exactly. They have D versions of both Anser and the Anser 2. Budda uses the Anser D and Finau uses the Anser 2D.

Will you send pics when you get them? I have my fitting on the 24th and leaning that direction for the head, definitely the finish, but possibly in the short slant neck rather than plumber’s (as I usually do). Going to have them match up the alignment line on back flange and topline as well.

Got an email yesterday. They haven’t put Anser 2 D into the mills yet. Only Anser D. Kind of bummed but Jeff said they will be doing the Anser 2 D very soon

does this just mean you wait until they decide to mill those or are you going with the anser D? 
 

do you have pictures of the difference between the two? I saw this one from the Valspar this week. Is this not an option?
