Man, tough crowd.  Kuchar's putting is one of his strengths (according to data not my opinion).  A lot of wrxers claim they'd use a toaster on a stick if it made putts and many have used stuff like the LAB DF (including myself within the past few months!)  For something that was whipped up for testing (as evidenced by the neck cutout being present, indicating they didn't take the time to redesign the CAD) the quality of the build looks A+ per usual Bettinardi standards.

I’d still have a 5 stroke offset with the amount of $h!t I’d take from my playing partners.  No way I could make a putt looking at that and laughing at what they guys had to say.
 

Don’t get me wrong, I like Bettis, in fact I currently play one, but not that thing.

Yep... basakwerds it is. I had one of these in my collection but somehow over the years I either sold it or gave it away cuz I can't find it anywhere. (I have about 65 or 70 putters) I never really sell my old putters, just move on to a different model. I am a firm believer in the Dave Stockton school of putting. If you are putting bad never doubt your stroke.... move on to a different putter. Even if it is only temporary. I have put many putters in "time out" over the years.

Jim Flood, who started Aldila, designed the bassakwerds putter (along with the powered driver and Lil David Slinger irons).  Gene Littler putted with one on Tour for a while.

Yeah, those are ugly as sin. But, it does look like those might have the Roll-Control over F.I.T. face. Hard to tell. 

 

If you haven't tried it, the Roll-Control Face is really damn good.

Which ones you got? I'm rolling an SS7 from 2021 that I won here on WRX. Easily the best putter I've ever owned.

One is very old Dunlop I picked up at a Goodwill store for $2.99 and the other (also old) really has no name on it just a pat. pending #. It's sorta cool. Like a brass pipe or tube with a flat spot milled on the bottom and a centered shaft. I think they are in my basement shop in a bag with countless others I tried and shelved.

Oh right, I thought you were referencing the other Bettinardi models you own.

 

I really like the roll control face, but it's one of those things that some people like and others don't. For whatever reason, I am always trying to figure out if I am an outlier for liking it, or if there really is something to it. 

 

Just for context, I also saw some real benefits from the Yes! C-Grooves. For me, getting a good, predictable roll on the ball provides confidence in my putting. I would argue that the C-Grooves and Betiinardi's Roll Control Face do have some impact in helping to get the ball rolling early and consistently.

 

Am I weird? Have I consumed the Kool-Aid? I don't know, trying to find out. 😀
