My pick is Ally Ewing: compact, repeatable yet powerful enough (264 yards driving distance stat first round).

Lol. What stands out is that she ranks T40 in total driving, and 78th in ballstriking. Athleticism isn't much good if it doesn't get the ball on the putting surface.

Followed Nelly in a tournament and she probably comes the closes of anyone on the LPGA to striking the ball like the men on the PGA Tour, hits it long and towering iron shots.

Agree.  she has the most flawless swing in Women's golf, it appears.  Everything seems perfect - alignment, tempo, acceleration, yet she looks natural.

OTOH - her stoic concentration on course makes her seem "dead" inside.  Even Tiger in his prime exhibited more emotion during play, and used it to positive result. Nelly just seems...well...like a zombie to me.

Can't decide, but what a match this would be, but leaning a little toward Lorena- the little bull in the china shop.

Not sure who would win a match between these 2 in their pomp, but Ben Hogan described Mickey Wright as the owner of the best golf swing he had ever seen.

I concur, especially superior at the top of her swing vs Lorena.

TBC, I'm not saying Lorena's is a poor swing.

"Daily Mail Online" March 19, 2023 edition has a really good article about Paige Spiranac; it's well written and included tons of insight information that I've never known.  Things like she got an estimated $12,000 per Instagram post because of her 3.7 million followers; that's about $3,000 per million followers.

It's totally worth reading but I wouldn't post it here because of many explicit photos.

You are safe to post the link, they must have taken down the "explicit photos".

I saw some amusing 'clickbait' on the LPGA Odds&Ends today (w.r.t. Paige Spiranac Daily Mail article including 'many explicit photos' 😬🚫🤬... thanks @18majors it was an interesting read... notwithstanding the 'false advertising' w.r.t. "many explicit photos"?! )🤷‍♂️

This Leona Maguire swing = my version of 'clickbait' for @Rapidcat!

Yep, I clicked😅

Big week for Leona, she was happy with the shape of her game from the Asian events but that's a few weeks ago now.

In Pauline Roussin's context ... a missed cut, following a win = acceptable?

and preferable to a scenario in which you make the cut most weekends, but finish in the mediocre places & never win? (e.g. Kelly Tan)

A lot is dependent on how a player suits a course in addition to form. Perhaps desert golf isn't her thing?

Anyway, surprised to see her miss the cut but just maybe she was celebrating long and hard in French style after her win as perhaps you intimate...champagne, fine food etc.

She was 'formidable' (read it in a French accent) in her win. Oh, and a few F*'s in her comments.

Seems to follow the Jennifer Kupcho model. Either contending, or trunk slamming.

Plenty of players that are even keel and chalk up top 10s by the bushel basket, but rarely hoist the trophy.

Well done! The only incorrect one is the final swing is Eun Hee Ji (Q Cells visor). Hyo Joo is not in the field this week
