Currently play Ping G2's. I have a set of G5's on the way. I couldn't resist because G5 has to be better than G2 and they were only $350 in "pristine" condition from Prolinepreowned. Is there a big difference between G2 and G5? Probably not. But these new clubs have a stiff shaft. That's it...I bought them because I needed a stiff shaft! Perfect. Now I have a reason.

The only clubs I own are older. My favorites are the Taylormade MB from 2003. Between the tour set I have with milled faces to the 2 production sets, nothing feels like those clubs. Additionally, I play rounds with the Bridgestone J33Bs, Mizuno MP 33s, & Taylormade 300s. I just picked up a set of Miura LE blades, and am looking forward to hitting the new J36, MacGregor Pro M and Cobra MB, but I prefer a true MB without the low CG that many of the more recent blades have.

i was playing some mizuno mx-19's, i really wanted the mx-25s but couldn't afford them. as i got better and better at my ballstriking i felt the need to want to be able to work the ball more, and with thick sticks like the mx-19s, it's pretty much impossible to hit them any other way besides straight and high, and where i play i tends to get a little windy. then i had the best find ever, found a set of slightly used taylormade rac forged tp irons at a local swap meet for 50 bucks! took them to local pro shop and had them set to my specs and regripped, and i tell you, they are the best feeling irons i've ever hit. i was planning on saving up and trading in my mx-19s to see if i could buy the new mizuno mp-57s, but these feel just as good, and hey, who's gonna turn down tour quality irons for 50 bucks?! taylormade released these in 2005, they're the cavity back, not the musclebacks. anyone who finds a set should pick them up immediately, they are buttery.

I've been playing my Ping I3 blades for 10 years. I look at other stuff, but nothing seems to scream "buy me" yet.

Been thinking about a set of Mizunos though. I have not played forged since I got my Pings, some days I kind of miss the feel. But new Mizunos are steep, so I'm thinking maybe a used set. I have no idea which ones.

I won't sell my I3 blades though. I'll always have those.

Ping i5s from 2005. Unusual for me not to have the latest model from a company but I agree with others who say technology in irons hasn't changed that much in last few years. For proof look at callaway X14 thru X20, apart from notch weighting changes are mainly cosmetic.

Tourstage Z101's. I believe these are vintage ~2003 or so when they stopped making them. Simply put........I demo EVERYTHING I can get my hands on, and I love testing and demoing equipment.

:partytime2:

As I've posted many, many times........I simply have not ever demoed, tested, owned, or fondled a set of clubs as spectacular as these. In every way.....they're superb. I cannot make that statement about any other iron on the market. (for ME of course!)

I don't change equipment much...still playing Titleist 690mb irons from 2001...love them so much that I bought an identical new set at the beginning of last year and put them in as gamers. They have a classic look to them, I haven't hit anything better than these, and I can shape my shots anyway I'd like to. I've hit the 695mb, 695cb, Mizuno's offerings, etc., but haven't felt a compelling reason to make a move. I certainly don't have distance or trajectory issues, so I'll stick with these until the end of time. Anyone know where I can buy a third set? LOL

Rac LT 2. Just can't find anything else as straightforward and that performs as well overall. I will be checking out the AP1 and AP2 when they arrive, but it's LT2 for now.
