Always look forward to the Kia, ummm, JTBC. Lol. Very strong field, but a couple of top players are sitting out, including Nelly and Brooke.

Prime time TV coverage for North America, although two hours for each of the first two rounds is rather pathetic.

And tape-delayed with no streaming the first two rounds. Need to remember to avoid this thread those two days.

Always love this event, although little worried with Brooke pulling out, just reinforces things aren't going well with 46" driver.  While I do believe when you're a top 10 player, you  should try an protect your ranking with skipping courses you don't play well, never like seeing a pull out.  But with the thick rough and 2 putting rds over years of 36 and 37 putts/rd, she should probably avoid this event like the plague (ie she's missed the cut here twice, only event on tour she's missed twice I think) but they did replace her with Canadian ..... sorta.

While I like other players succeeding, this week I get to openly cheer them on lol  I think Minjee or AT (Jeeno as she's refer to 🙂 ) will have the best week.  I'm hoping  my fave 1(B) Sei Young Kim starts getting back into form.  I will also be cheering for  Jeongeun Lee5 this week, girl is a grinder who just makes cuts, plus who does 6ix think she is always stealing the oxygen from the "Jeongeun Lee" room/space 🙃

The Epson field also got pillaged pretty good, filling in the back end of this event which is a bit of a shame

critical week for one of them players I always root for (to continue playing the week after🤔)

It's a stern test:

  1.   Six weeks on the sideline
  2.   She needs a T30 or better

But, I'm optimistic that she'll bring up that spirit of 2018 and holes that 20 foot putt!

Yeah, Sei Young needs to get it in gear. She's currently 100th in CME points with just one event played (48th).

Yup, plus there's a few of them out there to add pressure lol. Eg friends that are attending all 4 days... (Not me, lol)

My "informants" there  will let me know if I should turn off the computer / leaderboard ahead of time lol...

4-way tie (they belatedly updated Louise Ridderstrom’s details). Crazy front9 (31!!), but missed out the playoff by 1 stroke due to bogey on the last?

I feel for these ladies struggling to make these Monday Qualifiers -- too much of a crapshoot in my opinion, but it is what it is... Boy, it's only here I realized Haru truly has fallen off -- I know she hasnt played well since the pandemic started but talk about drop off...  (I know how it feels having seen the ones I follow try some of these with no luck in the past eg Monday Qualis)

@Supermilo
Wonder what would happen  if ... Haru Nomura followed your latest motto, prior to these Monday qualifiers  ...and “consumed raw bull's 🐮 meat in front of his [her]  adversary and would drink raw bull's blood for energy and vitality”

😬🚫🤬 (Might put the others off their game! Steak tartare!

Albeit I prefer the taste of “Pocari Sweat🥤)

Jillian Hollis took a detour the last two years, but she rolled all the way back to the top:

Thanks @18majors... was wondering why the LPGA website wasn’t updating the Monday Q’s leaderboard for the playoff!

happy for Pannarat! Albeit honorable mention to Holmqvist, for the birdie-birdie-birdie finish 🐣🐣🐣

..p/s: is there an interesting story behind Jill Hollis’ “FREE WILLY” moniker? (A “Willy” in the USA 🇺🇸 presumably has a different meaning, vs in the uk 🇬🇧 England 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿  or Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿  🤔 🧐 )

Why would they refer to Pannarat as “2016 LPGA Tour Rookie”... it’s odd writing that made me Google it (because I initially interpreted the tweet as her being a Tour Rookie this year!)

@Golf Dino : Any insights wrt Pannarat? (Given your excellent recent “World of Golf” podcast re 🇹🇭 Thai LPGA players... I need to go re-search for the Link to that podcast!)
