Jeeno was not even on the leaderboard on her front nine:

She did great to bring it home - Nanna, Charley et al not so much.

I kinda knew Hull wouldn’t close it out just bec it’s like a Su “early round in contention gut feel”.

Thought Pajaree stood a chance, along with Jeen of course…

wasn’t convinced An had the fortitude to conquer the 18th in round 4…

Didn’t expect Nanna to bungle to bogey in regulation in the last hole 😈

default winner: Jeen!

Charley hasn't won a FOUR round LPGA/LET event since 2016 so hardly surprising.

Suspect that she loves her life though - I would.

That is true, but that nice 8 footer on the 18th was set up by a poor lag putt. Her lag putt on the 2nd playoff hole was also woefully short, leading to a 3 putt. Her birdie putt on the first playoff hole was a dead pull.

Glad she won, but she was gifted this one by Nanna.

Agree... bogey vs double bogey for the playoff win = gifted

Nonetheless, there are signs of good putting (if the pressure isn't extreme, as evidenced indeed by 17th and 18th).  It's been discussed though and we've seen enough of missed close putts since last year's Honda Thailand though I admit I haven't seen enough LET putting from her (due to less coverage, obviously).    Her swing reminds me a bit of Morikawa (so does her wedge play and putting actually -- esp during Morikawa's early years in the PGA).  I expect she'll settle down a bit after this win and hopefully the putting on critical junctures esp when in the lead or protecting a lead gets better.   For now, the come from behind actually reminded me a bit of Minjee's Evian, truth be told... I'll definitely take both wins (Minjee and Jeen's ☺︎)

Thailand is on the rise as a serious golf nation - Jeeno, Patty, Pajaree.....

How much is this is because of Ariya and Moriya?

Partly bec of the Jutanugarns, partly Porny 😈

also partly SCG (Siam Cement Group), not much different from ICTSI for Yuka/Bianca/Dottie etc… (though obviously the Thais are way better in playing the sport )

Well done to Jeeno.

I still believe in Koerstz-Madsen-Hansen though. She is shaky under pressure, but fully acknowledges it. The win in Thailand doesn't just make it all disappear, but she at least knows she can win - unlike say Altomare, Ciganda and Salas (even though those last two have won, in a different era). The next first-time winner is always an intriguing question. At the beginning of the season I thought it would be one of the so-called "rookies", but thought grumpy bum Kupcho was also a real chance. But is that derriere more squeaky than grumpy? I think fairly obviously, HJ Choi and Na Rin An can win, but what about Furue? Will Altomare suddenly get angry, throw off her sleeves and demure demeanour, and slaughter a field, with gnashing teeth and spite in her eyes? I'd like to see that!

I agree with you about Nanna.  She has made some giant strides so far.  And even though she felt some pressure going into the closing stretch yesterday, she was mature enough to understand that it wasn't the end of the world and that she knows that she must improve in that area.

As for Furue, I like her and she knows how to win having won 7 times on the JLPGA . . . but, I am not sure her game is strong enough off the tee to become a multiple winner . . . she is not short by any means, averaging 258 yards this week at JTBC, but her SG off the tee is below average and that putts puts pressure on the remainder of her game.   The good news for her is that she is above average in all of the other SG categories.

For comparison, here are the Top 5 players from yesterday:

Atthaya - 270 yds

Nanna - 270 yds

MA Leblanc - 286 yds

Na Rin - 264 yds

Pajaree -  271 yds.

You could be right, and it is basically what I feel.

Watching yesterday I felt An was at a disadvantage because of her distance of the tee compared to Nanna, and Furue in the same situation will be a few yard back of An. All other things being equal, length matters.

And that is where JYK is deadly . . . she is more than equal in the rest of her game.  Inbee has been doing that for years.  And that is what Ayaka Furue needs to do as well - improve in those areas enough to mitigate the disadvantage off the tee.

I hope to spend some time next month reviewing the latest set of SG data so we can see how the players stack up with more rounds under their belts.

Did the other YouTube Tv subscribers here get next to nothing recorded for round 4?

I assume it's because Golf Channel showed extra PGA coverage.

@AWinfortheAges I can't answer your specific question w.r.t. Youtube TV...
but SkySportsGolf allows on-demand replay/ 'Live-stream' i.e. there's a ~4 hour R4 replay available on-demand.

(requires VPN set to UK 🇬🇧https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCa98aY7eenHS_YhehF-vuEQ)

But Round 4 was not LIVE . . . it only became available afterwards . . . or so that it seemed.  I couldn't find R4 at all until afterwards.

I recorded the tourney on Sling TV / Golf Channel.

Of course, it didn't  catch the playoff.

So I head over to the LPGA site and they also had no specific coverage of the playoff.   I didn't get to see Nanna's double bogey.

My DVR on youtubeTV catched the playoff.  It might be that the playoff came after scheduled time.  I have it set so that it records all LPGA and PGA.. so the recording might have carried through thinking it was PGA recording.

where? In Sky Sports or in Canada?  (I was clearly watching live as I didn't engage in these - literally used GC US for this one with added chatter from the course - via facebook messenger LOL)

any one know what irons Na Rin An is playing? Looks like Callaway X-Forged or TCB

Yeah, definitely one of those two. 'Hard to tell from this angle, as they both have the trapezoidal insert.
