Those Honma Rose Proto irons really setup nice. Laurie Canter used to play a full set (maybe still does). Also with the Rose etched out.

Someone else mentioned that another player had been playing those irons with the Rose scratched out too. It may be a legal thing after the untimely split between Rose and Honma. Like maybe they could not sell already finished heads with his name on them. It does look like a hurried up job

I’m 98% sure about what I’m about to say… if you look at his 3 wood, you’ll notice there isn’t a line in between the “3” and “15*”. I believe with the Stealth Plus (and M5, Sim and Sim2) heads, if that line isn’t there, the head is a 3HL sitting around 16.5*. Of course, that applies to tour issue heads only.

That's interesting. Do you have anything official to support that or is it just based on observation? I ask because I was initially going to say that I have two heads that would refute that (M5 and SIM) as they are 4w lofts but do have the line between the number and loft, however I figured i'd go do some checking since there are a couple eBay stores with high lofted tour issued 3w heads. Sure enough you're right, they all have missing lines between the number and loft, with the "normal" lofts all having the lines. I only found one exception to this, and it may have been from a listing with the wrong photo used on one angle since they were new heads. Additional anecdote to this as well, Adam Scott was previously using a 16.5* TSi2 and with his new Stealth 3w is missing the line as well, suggesting it's in that similar 4w range. 

As far as the heads I have are concerned, well there has to be a cutoff somewhere in terms of loft and if that is 16.5* then that would make sense because mine are 16.4* and 16.3* respectively, hah.

I agree it has to be something along these lines. Very likely Bland is friends with Rose and maybe this is out of loyalty to Rose over a name and likeness issue. If the Honma deal ended badly there could be a dispute over what was paid and what wasn’t.
