2 iron most likely will come out of the bag.  No 5 iron, the 4 iron is a little weak and the 6 iron is a little strong.

Love seeing the pros do kind of what Furyk does and tweak the lofts at the top end of their irons.

 

I've been doing it for a little bit to get a 62* wedge in the bag.  My i525s I've ordered are a 1* strong 6i and a powerspec G425 5i for this exact purpose.  My gaps might be a bit larger than normal at the top of the bag, but I find it easier to just take a little off my 3h or jump on the 5i to get that in-between yardage.

Agree with you 110%---- One does not have to go with standard by the book lofts or by the book standard gaps to achieve what they need--- Now days for me I can still hit the 5 iron ok but to prefer in my case to jump on the 9 wood some or lay off the 7 wood

2nd witb in a row with  leather grips.  With todays prices and availability of regular grips , I think leather suddenly makes more sense.   They last for a long long time.
