2022 TM P7MC?

OMG.  I am reaaally loving the refinement they've made to this thing.  Took a clean iron and made it look a little better.  Very very interested in this.  I loved the look of the last one too but it just wasn't in the cards.  Really hoping these remain pretty traditionally lofted.

Well, I may have to switch from the P770 to these..  really like that look.

Thinking same thing. Prob leaning toward a combo set, but will wait to see how the new 770s look

Pretty amazing screw up by someone at TM posting this... unless of course they did it on purpose for buzz.  But that doesn't seem likely given the fact that too much buzz would bottom out sales on what's currently available.  You'd think they'd want to sell as many of those as possible until the new ones are actually available.

With that said, they look good.  But i liked the current ones too.

These look like the current iron… what am I missing?

They’re different if you looked, just not extremely different

Agree

But unless the tech is 'quite' different...will still only appeal to a very small audience

I am pretty sure they realize that.  That audience needs some love too haha.  Curious what the next 770 looks like.  But, if I had to pick a set it would be the MC.

They are. Blades more so too.

I wouldn't expect the noticeable jump in forgiveness some are hoping for. The changes are very minor.  MBs changed more.

Interesting.  Interested in what the MBs have changed.  A combo set could be pretty sick.

Differen't sole, smaller, more 730-like. Someone mentioned a P770-MC combo with 7-A MC. Don't know for sure, but historically they haven't made an MC A wedge. Doubt they do this time. A wedge is where a combo that went to the new MBs might be tough transition for full swingers. The MBs are little. Make the MC seem big, which they are not. Specialties will seem extra special.

Someone mentioned the mb changes awhile back in a thread.

more 730-like makes sense, given that most of their staff still use that iron over the P7MB.

actually I found the post. Here is what they said back in august. I always thought the head shape and size of the head was good on the p730, it was very similar to titleist blades in that regard. However, the sole was weirdly thick for a blade especially of that size.

"

I was told the same thing from someone in the know. Being an MB guy, our focus went on that line. Supposed to be more similar to the 2020 MB than the 730 (which was a disappointment for me). Little “bump” on the back of the iron is supposedly more central than the current MB. Softer sole than the 730 with more camber too. Lots of wins if you ask me but what I really want is a milled grind 730 with a sole that emulates the 46’ MG3.

New MC and 770 are more of an evolution on the 2020s as well. A little weight likely shifting around to bring the CG more central. Like I said earlier, we didn’t discuss these as much. The MC is expected to blend very seamlessly into to MB which would be a nice win (especially if the offset matches up better with the MB). \

They're a decent departure from the '20 MB. They want the tour guys to actually play these. And they don't have the same bump. They will transition better with same lofts this time though.

I thought the P7 MC was a stunning iron, simple, clean and felt phenomenal. Looking forward to seeing more photos when available.
