2022 TM P7MC?

It’s a true post. You guys that are wanting a 760 would need it added back to the line up instead of a replacement for the mc(750). Too much of a jump from mb to a 760, especially for tour players.

Agreed

that is exactly what we want

too big of a jump (and the wrong jump) from the mc to the 770 is the issue

just think TM is missing a reasonable segment of the market with the current lineup and driving people (like me) elsewhere and I really don't want to...

Anyone have pics of the 770 replacement?

Anyone that takes one has balls of steel, is just stupid, or doesn't care about relationships.  Which means someone will. They're making the rounds now. A lot more people will see them over the next week or so. They look good though, and they did something interesting with cg this time.

VERY Interesting

I would love to seriously consider a combo sry of 4-7 mc and 4-6 770

iF…..they amp the mc a bit and ‘soften’ the 770

getting excited at the prospect

Just snagged an "old" (i.e. current) set with this configuration.  Really looking forward to gaming them and feel they will combo very very well.

So you now officially CAN'T customize a set of P770's on either the Canadian or US Taylormade website. Looks like they're clearing stock on the "older" P770 models and getting ready for the "new" ones. Anyone who has some leaked photos lets go... remember "Sharing is Caring".

Anyone who has access to them could face consequences for taking pictures as they're under embargo, only reason we have a pic of the MC is because someone made a "mistake" not that it probably won't happen lol.

For comparison….softest irons I’ve ever hit, and that includes older Mizuno models (MP-14, MP-33, etc.). As for comparisons to blades, these sit in my backup bag as my T100’s are significantly more forgiving.

It may just be me, but does the cavity look more “shallow” and the toe area a little thicker, as if this might be hollow?

Agree with the points relating to the 760s, Taylormade does not have an iron that can compete with the T100 or ZX7 as a players iron with some help. P770 is too much of a jump from the P7MC

Exact reason my next set will be Titleist, want something other than blades in a few long irons, MC isn't really more forgiving but don't want to jump to a hollow 770, T100 is perfect for that.

For the guys that want the 760's, why did  you get rid of them, or why not just go buy a used set?  They're still a very relevant iron and would still blend well with the current MC's if that's the goal....  it's weird griping about it, when you know TM isn't going to add it back to the line up, and you can easily resolve it by sticking with an old set.  Iron tech hasn't advanced that much in the last couple years....

When I looked at a set of 730 blades when they first came out I was looking at p790 in 4 iron and 5-pw in p730, many tour players did this sort of set back then. Could even do p790 in 4 iron, MC in 5 iron and then the rest blades, MC 5 iron is slightly more forgiving than the blade 5 iron. You can use the 790 as sort of a driving iron off the tee as well. If I was doing a blade combo set I probably wouldn't be doing 4,5 p760 and 6-pw mb.

Mixing t100 with blades is kind of weird if you do the 4 and 5 iron, I could see like Justin Thomas set with 4 iron t100 and the rest blades. If you are looking for a full set more forgiving without blades then I agree TM doesn't really have a t100 iron. What they would need to do is either replace the 770 with a slimmer t100 competitor or add a new club to the line up. Titleist has so many different irons in their lineup.

I would do a Jimmy Walker and do 3-4 T100 and rest blades, not looking for the whole set to be more forgiving just don't want to be staring at a blade 3 iron anymore when I have 231 over water lol.

I had similar thoughts initially, but holding my P7MC 5 iron in the same way and comparing makes me think they're not that different to the current models. Just the lighting differences in each image.

Also don't see any injection port out on the toe where you'd expect one.
