What shaft in your Cobra LTDx driver?

Just curious what shaft people chose for LTDx driver. Was only able to hit with Mitsubishi White. Stock shafts working, not working for you?  Have demo day May 1st which seeming like eternity away especially if orders taking awhile. Thanks for any input.  Cheers

Ventus black extra stiff

10.5 turned down to 9 with a Ventus Black 7X was working very well. Maybe a touch high still? so I picked up a 9* to try with the Ventus Black and a Ventus TR if I want to maybe try it at 7.5*. A few weeks before I can try it out yet.

 

Stock RDX Black was launching and spinning more than the Ventus Black.

The stock Hzrdus RDX Blue 45,5" was a clear winner for me in fitting.

 

Have used it 2 times on the trackman sim since, it feels a bit light to me (6.0 60gr) but the swing weight is D3. Might also cut or tip to 45,25" because I am most comfortable in the length. Just need to add some weight the the head and of course no custom weight availed yet..

 

Also might move to +1 loft setting, I like it how the LTDx sits a bit open so it doesn't look too shut in the +1 setting to my eye.

was fit at GG, cut to 45, play @11.5(+1)

not performing as well as fitting where had good #’s

feels too soft like can’t reliably feel solid control of shaft / head, noodley. which is weird bc did nit feel that way in bay.

wish GG had more options available to demo, the usual problem with any fitter never broad enough selection of shafts.  I play av white gr. irons , probably should be in av raw white or white pro 1k stiff, ad di would probably work well too, I’ve good success with their hybrid/ utility shafts.  other than club champion wouldn’t even know where to go in Ny metro area to figure this out 

improbably should be playing closer to 44 as well.  Good luck finding a fitter that can address this as well……

the ltdx feel and sound is awesome, head design great for my eye,  love what cobra did.

Depending on how much weight you need to add, one of the stock Cobra weights may work for you.

Shame these don't ship outside US and also $25 + shipping is just silly. I might just add some lead tape under the current weight.

I also felt like I was not performing as good as my fitting, but now as I wrote the Trackman umbers down, it's actually pretty damn close.

 

Fitting (8 shots avarage): 105,4SS / 157,8BS / 2335rpm / 10,5 launch / 79 height / 258,3 carry / 288,6 total 

 

Testing (15 shots avg): 104,4SS / 155,5BS / 2181rpm / 9,8 launch / 65,6 height / 250,2 carry / 286,1 total

 

I also cracked my last RCT ball in my previous session so I have to find more, they are all sold out in the shops as of now..

Are you the guy that went from 250 with a Ping to 311 total with the LTDx? Saw it on some TXG post, just grazy.

Yes, funny enough same fitter had another 40-50 yard gain a few days after going from a SIM2 to Cobra LTDxLS. I think they're quite popular at TXG now.

Fuji Speeder Revolution VI 596 R-flex

 

I needed to get a little softer, lighter shaft because I'm getting old.  Fit at CC, but built at Peoples.  Should be delivered Saturday.  They also did a 3W for me with a Fuji Speeder NX 50 R-flex.  Got it a couple weeks ago.  Set to 16.5° and I am hitting it very well.  Higher flight and consistent so far.  Big improvement off turf for me vs. previous 3W.

Fuji Speeder Evo VII 661x with the LTDx was a monster. Numbers were about even with Stealth+ but far ahead of anything else.

Testing my LS with a Ventus Black 6x and also have a HZRDUS T1100 that will get a few reps next time out. If those don't pan out then I will try a couple with softer midsections, likely Tensei Pro Blue or Tour AD-VR.

... I had 3 driver fittings, 1 for the Stealth and 2 for the Rogue ST LS. Tensei AV Blue 55 s-flex was my best performer along with the AD-IZ s/r flex. Put in a very low bid for a LTDx on Ebay and surprisingly won the auction so playing mine for the first time today with a Graphite Design AD-MT s/r flex and I have a Tensei AV 55 s-flex on the way. I will follow up after playing it a few rounds.

I’ve got a Kai’li White 110TXXX super-mega stiff tipped -4”. 48” length with Tour Velvet +4 Jumbo size with +12 extra wraps of tape for my Goliath meat hooks. All in my LTDxLS 6* proto head turned down to 4.5* 😉😉 I hit BOMBS!!!!

Dunno but i think all you need is some real light sandpaper. I personally like the gloss tho.

Light abrading with 0000 steel wool would be MUCH better than sandpaper.
