What shaft in your Cobra LTDx driver?

10.5* LTDx MAX at 9* with a Kai'li White 60x, 44.75"

Super forgiving, spin between 2200-2500 on center strikes, kai'li really helps keep the launch down.

For being draw biased it doesn't go left at all sitting fully open unless it's just a dead straight pull. If I try to hit a big sweeping hook around a corner it's usually a slight draw.

Really loved the LS too but found the max for cheap, barely used.  I may eventually try a 9* opened up for fun but for now i'm hitting a ton of fairways

Just curious what shaft people chose for LTDx driver. Was only able to hit with Mitsubishi White. Stock shafts working, not working for you?  Have demo day May 1st which seeming like eternity away especially if orders taking awhile. Thanks for any input.  Cheers

I have only played 2 rounds.  I purchased it with the IM10 mid, 6.5, and it was too stiff for me.  I took the RDX black off my TSI 3, and it has performed much better.  But it is not a stock option.

Ltdx LS 10.5 with a Hzrdus Smoke Green PVD 60 (6.0) playing at 45” and D3.  Messing with loft right now and have it set at 11.5. Just shortened it from 45.75 and haven’t hit it yet, this new length should be the ticket.

My comment relates to Cobra shaft upgrades.

Unlike other manufactures, Cobra charge for for the price difference between the stock shaft and the upgrade shaft, for example - Ventus (e.g. Blue and Black) shafts incur $180 upcharge, whereas Taylormade, Titleist, and Callaway charge $250-300. Furthermore, Cobra install shafts untipped and will gladly tip shafts to your requirement free of charge.

The shaft in some circumstances will be the deciding factor between competing manufacturer models.

Tour AD XC6 TX at 45" and D2 with the LTDx head. The TX is not as stiff as it sounds, its just heavier than the S or X in a tip and middle stiff and soft handle profile.  I am pretty much an S300 kind of guy so I was surprised to get fit into the TX model, but I can't argue with the results.

When I got my LTDx head I purchased a cheap 22' AV Raw white 65s shaft. It was great, but decided to try a Ventus TR. Played today and it is the best dang combo I have tried. Long, straight with a little draw at most. Tried to fade it it on a couple holes and it won't do it. It was just long bomb straight.

Is the AV white the same profile as the HZRDUS Black?  Curious if you think it would have a similar comp.  I have seen a lot of love for the Ventus TR(minus some durability issues), and wonder if would work well for me.  Granted, The RDX Black combo with the LTDX has not been bad.

Kali 60x is a very stout  shaft, I had to play a Hzrdus 60x black Rdx tipped 1,5” to play to a similar flex to the kali 60x. You must have a very high clubhead speed.

How do you like that trono in the ls?

I like it.  Launches a little lower than the a series did but it’s a good hold over while the a series is built/shipped.  Played a round last Sunday with it and drove the ball really well.

I saw that the Black LTDx is 20 yards longer than the standard LTDx.

I have been playing the stock im10 6.0 in the 10.5* LS I just picked up & I have been surprised at how well I get along with it. To me it doesn't feel as stiff as a typical hzrdus shaft, there is definitely some mid-kick to it but the tip must be stiff enough--I'd say it's a mid-launch, mid spin profile. I actually play it in a epic speed 5 wood too, it's a great FW shaft...

I found a AD-DI on here for a song, though, so I'll be putting the two head to head this week lol

Stock Tensei White 65x, cut down to 44.5" and changed weights in the bottom. 9* -1 setting is where I am playing at. LOVE this setup, best driver I've had in the bag.

Had a blue tr in my LS for most of the season but just switched up and went regular ltdx head with a motore f1. Alot cheaper setup, but honestly I it performs just as well if not better. Sometimes I wonder why I go down that whole shaft rabbit hole.

Curious to hear your experience between the two heads. I'm about 105mph avg & tend to have a level AoA if not 1* down on the driver. Finding that the LTDx will climb a little too high on certain strikes, and on similar strikes it seems like I don't have enough speed/launch to get enough carry with the LS. Not losing tons of yds in either case, even the LS is quite forgiving for a low spin model... just can't decide which miss I prefer to have lol

There isnt a whole lot in it really. Id say 1 degree of launch and 200-300revs betweens the heads at same loft. This can of course be offset by the hosel adjustments. As far as forgiveness goes, the ls is really a pretty forgiving head for an ls model. Id say the regular ltdx offers a bit more on the more extreme misses. Hit one darn near off the hosel the other day that just gently faded back to the middle. I dont think the ls would have done the same. Whats interesting to me is the feel and sound are a bit different, which surprised me.

Had the stock RDX blue in stiff in my blue LTDx but had an og NV 60-s with a cobra adapter on it from years ago. Threw it in there and is hasn’t left. Great flight and roll out. It’s a weird green and blue combo. I call it Bruce Banner now.

I tried an Aldila Tour Green and wow didn't expect to love it.  Low spin mid flight lasers.

Ps. Also in blue head! Great color combo!
