Need higher launching woods!

I suggest you watch the YouTube video on TXG regarding face depth difference on fairway woods and the effects it has on launch and strike. 

 

This is why I play PING fairways. The difference for me is night and day. Typically a low launch with a fairway wood is due to a low strike on the face more than anything. Shallow face makes the low strike less exaggerated. A similar strike with any wood should produce pretty much the same flight - just some clubs make a center strike more likely with their geometry design.

Looping back on this. 

 

Been messing with a few shafts, have a Kuro Kage R flex in the 13.5 3wood and driver now, getting better results.

 

Also been messing with my swing and approach with the 13.5, trying to hit higher flying cut shots with it, the softer flex is helping with that..
