PHX Area golf trip in June - recommandations

We are taking a trip down to the valley in June, we had done this since 2009 so we have our list of places to play. However one of our fav's is not an option anymore, what the hell is going on with Troon North pricing for the summer? Last august we played Pinnacle for $100 and in 2019 we played 36 for $230....so seeing $250+ for an afternoon round in June is just bonkers, so its out of the rotation! F that noise!

 

so here is the plans for now, thoughts will be appreciated, and again this is for mid June timing..

 

Thursday (arrival day) - pm -> Papago

this is up for reconsideration was hoping for AkChin but they have no afternoon tee times that day, same for Raven, The Boulders, Gold Canyon

what would another choice be within 1hr of sky harbor?  (Sterling Grove? Trilogy? McDowell??)

 

Friday am - Sunridge

pm - Eagle Mtn

 

Sat 36 @ Wildfire

Sun 36 @ Wekopa

Mon 36 @ Grayhawk

 

Tues fly home

 

Thanks for your suggestions and if you know wtf is going on @ TN, would appreciate some insights....love that place, but sorry, not for those prices in the summertime!

Papago is starting a major remodel project in June so the whole course likely not available. I’d check out Raven or Legacy for close to airport. Also need to be on the lookout for aeration issues in June. Greenskeeper.org is a great site for current conditions.

Golf has a new surge. Due to covid people are not traveling out of the country so they stay here and play golf. If you want to play you got to pay. AZ is a hot market right now. Everyone is fleeing California and moving here and they want to golf.
