What is your silliest reason for getting rid of a club?

I stopped using my Scotty Cameron after my ex-girlfriend dumped me and started dating a guy named Cameron. That was eons ago and I'm thankfully over that. What is your silliest reason for cutting ties with a piece of equipment?

I stopped playing a Cobra RadSpeed this year because Cobra released a new driver -- nothing was wrong with the RadSpeed.

 

That's gotta be at least as silly as any other reason, certainly more silly than yours

I sold my Nike Vapor Fly Pro irons for $200 after the finish had worn to much for my eyes. Biggest mistake of my life.

This isn't what the OP was looking for, but to me, golf clubs are tools used to improve my game.  Consequently, there's nothing silly about having to replace a club or shaft.   But I will cope to being impulsive at times. 😛

Sound and feel of the i525 irons I just got. Everything else about them is great, I just can’t do the crack/click sound.

First round with rocketbladez irons. Three times on three holes hit worm burners into ponds or creeks just 10 yards in front of me. Went on eBay that evening.

I would not buy the King Forged Tec irons because the “King” on the back of the head was too big.

Every club that has blue on it I get rid of. I just hate the color blue and I try to end my fury of it and then I just can’t look at it anymore. First one was the callaway steelhead 3 wood, honestly never missed a shot with it but dumped it anyway. Been many more since then, needless to say I don’t play Mizuno 😂

Not a reason I got rid of a club, but I have used a Yes Tracy putter in the past because it's my wife's name. I currently have Tracy II in the rotation.

I sold my speed blades because I didn’t like the badge on the back. Solid my 3w because I couldn’t hit it, only for lack of practice

Sold my Nike SQ driver back in the day because I hooked it, threw it, and it snapped at the head. I never forgave it for the hook, or for breaking. I expect perfection and durability.
