ESPN=pathetic

Never thought I would comment on the coverage of a golf tournament, but never thought I would see what I saw, and didn’t see what I didn’t see, today.

Thoroughly enjoyed the feature group coverage.  The short time I was on the general coverage it was fine as well.  Saw all the shots of the featured group, coverage was fine with the others.  Golf being available when it otherwise wouldn't be - good by me!

I watched a little bit of the joe buck, michael collins coverage at lunch and it was the worst tv i have ever seen. Horrible

I guess people can't wait for CBS on the weekend so we can have 5X the commercials.

Anyone get this error message on ESPN+? Called ESPN tech support and they said everything on their end was good and blamed my cable provider. Called my cable provider and they said all good and blamed ESPN! 🤣

Mine worked fine all day. Although I don't have cable. My ESPN+ is through my Hulu account.

Had same issue just went to Settings and Re-Logged into my ESPN+ acct and all good now. No need to call.

ESPN+ coverage has been delightful. You can always smash that mute button if it doesn't meet your standards

Thanks. Worked in the bedroom when I woke up, got that error message 15min later when I tied to put it on downstairs 😫 Works on my phone, which leads me to believe it is a cable provider issue.

I was happy with it, watched Tiger, Rory, and Jordan's entire round.  For $6.99, not bad for two rounds of golf.

... With everything that is going on in the world today I am constantly amazed at how many wrx members complain about ... well most everything. Long story short but doing rehab for my 2nd back surgery I was complaining to the girl next to me doing the same exercise. Whoa's me, boo hoo, can't play golf for several months ... again!  I asked if she was recovering from back surgery too and she replied she had terminal cancer and 6 months to live so she was just trying to keep up the quality of her life for what time she had left. Judging by the look of egg on my face as I tried to form a replay she continued saying she wasn't interested in my pity, just look at every day like it is a gift, because it is. She was 27 yrs old. That was 1995 and I have done my best not to complain about anything ever since. I am enjoying the golf on TV.

While I see where you are going, one has to remember this isn't being broadcast out of the goodness of their hearts.  They are making money off us by doing this.  Ergo, if their product is subpar, criticizing it is not some lack of perspective.

 

A large portion of the complaining was the fact they were making Woods out to be more courageous than people who stormed beaches on d-day.   The perspective was completely lacking imo.  The afternoon broadcast seems much better.

... I am a lifelong hippie from the 70's and not an ex hall monitor so wrx members can certainly complain about whatever they choose. I just presented a different perspective that is and always will be compared to someone with 6 months to live and would they be complaining or attempting to enjoy every minute of their life.

So you've never received a bad meal, or had a car repair go wrong or suffered the failure of golf item and had to confront the vendor or store with a complaint?  You just let it go and moved on with your life because that's what people in sandals do.   And telling your story as if you're the only one among us to witness tragedy play out in front of you. 

 

I think complaining is a heathy exercise and will continue to do so. 

It promotes change and improvement.

I realized pretty quickly here, there's a certain sector of people that will complain about literally everything they can. I can't imagine how miserable their lives are.
