PayPal shipstation charges

Anybody else getting a charge from

shipstation that you have no idea what for? I’m on another golf forum and one of the members there got one as well. 
 

contacted shipstation customer service and got this response

This is such a relief to see others, because I thought I was going crazy earlier today. I had a random $19.xx charge for Shipstation shipping as well. Tried to open a dispute on Paypal and couldn't get it to work, tried calling Paypal and gave up for the time being. Yikes, pretty big error on Shipstation's part.

I clicked on report a problem on the PayPal page. It shows mine was a subscription to shipstation that’s going to auto bill per month. It said you can cancel anytime, so I did. I’ll use pirate ship from this point forward.

I got the same thing for $11.95 a few minutes ago.

I asked them

if this was a error on my end? Like I underestimated weight and this is the response. 
 

its not this either, in my case. It’s the subscription that these dirty rotten scoundrels conned me into. No idea if I signed up for a shipstation account I’d be billed monthly.

Are you doing this in the PayPal account or in shipstation? I can’t find this anywhere and I’m trying to get ahead of this before this comes to bite me also as I imagine I got conned into this as well

Also how can you get charged subscription fees when it clearly states that there are “NO SUBSCRIPTION FEES TO USE SHIPSTATION”. Directly from the PayPal site…

I went to my PayPal account overview where all my charges were listed.

You guys got me curious, just checked my PayPal and no mystery charges.  Fingers crossed it stays that way.

I got an 18.00 charge.  I filed a dispute through PayPal and it was closed saying the charges were accurate.  When I talked to PayPal on the phone they had no idea there were issues with erroneous charges.  Hopefully I get the 18 bucks back after this is all sorted out.

I thought it was a mystery shipping charge but they told me the charge was part of the agreement for using their service. It was in the fine print that i didnt read.

Mine was a double up of $11.34 which was the exact cost I paid for my last shipping label a week ago. I thought it was a delayed transaction but looked at history and appears to be a double payment.

Are you using shipstation though ebay or are you using as a standalone service? 

 

I got nailed for 19 the other day but when I pulled down the excel, it showed I used the same tracking number twice ( printed and shipped the same label) 

 

But went in to check because of this post and don't actually have a desperate shipstation account.

ive got nailed for 3 mystery charges already....On one, it said there was a 12.75 uncharge because the box was longer than 48". The box is printed 48X4X4 but I deliberately cut it down to 46 to make sure it was under 48"......Not sure if it is UPS adjustments who is ripping me off but so far ive got 12.75 3X and a $31 charge today.  They are insane !!!!!

It looks like I’ve gotten refunds for part of my mysterious charge from today. Still waiting for one more refund. Hopefully it’s comes through automatically like the other two

 

Edit: Just got my last refund to reflect the full amount of the mystery charge today.

Yeah, mine is the exact amount of my 2 legitimate shipping charges in May added together ($19.11 - had a $9.74 and $9.37 first of May from where I actually did ship stuff). It’s an error on their part and not some kind of subscription charge. They better be automatically refunding these. I’ll give it a few days before going through the hassle of calling Shipstation.

Yep, same. Just got 2 separate refunds for the amounts mentioned above.

Same, $34 dollar charge and was juts refunded within an hour of the first erroneous charge.

Definitely some weird stuff going on. I remembered seeing this thread and meant to check it out, then just now I noticed a random refund from Shipstation. Digging in to it, it looks like this morning I was charged a random $14.19 which is the same amount I paid to ship something two weeks ago. That $14.19 was refunded this evening. 🧐

i received my refund for one of the charges ($31) .  I did cancel my automatic payment to them but refund was issued.  Now i have to ask about a oversize refund......

I bought a mailing label on 5/5. Just checked my automatic payments on Paypal and had a recurring payment setup for Ship Station. Thanks for the tip on where to view automatic payments.

Confused.

 

i had $27 in unknown charges but they were promptly refunded without me doing anything 

 

is there in fact a subscription fee for ShipStation or just an overage charge if your weight or dimensions are off?

 

BTW as a frequent shipper - UPS/ShipStation has been great, nearly 50% of USPS lately, and if you overestimate it’s still worthwhile

I got my refund too.   I like using Ship Station through PayPal as it automatically populates the buyers confirmed address and I don't have to carry it over to Pirate Ship.  Hopefully there are no issues going forward.
