John Daly 2022 PGA - Cart?

I was listening to PGA Tour radio today and one of the questions was why John Daly got to ride in a cart and Tiger Woods didn't.  They answered Woods doesn't believe in cart use on tour (even with a bad leg).  They didn't confirm however that Daly was allowed a cart.  So was Daly actually using a cart during the Tournament?  Photos, video?

This isn’t that hard, Daly has a medical exemption to ride a cart. He applied for it and was granted. Tiger did not apply for one, they aren’t just going to grab his clubs from the bag drop and load them on a cart for him if he doesn’t want one. If he had applied I can’t imagine it would not have been granted.

Personally I don’t think either should be allowed to ride. Their maladies are completely self inflicted.

Yet Tiger's self-destructive behavior is the stuff heroes are made of. 😆

Yet, tiger's off the course behavior had nothing to do with his golf game, which is the point most are making.

what impact is his off course behavior having right now on his career, aside from the ridiculous amount of running he did?

He sort of messed up his leg, the one causing the limp, pain and subsequent withdrawal from the PGA Championship in a car wreck.

Here is an article if you missed it . https://www.usmagazine.com/celebrity-news/pictures/tiger-woods-car-accident-everything-to-know/extracted-from-the-wreck/ .

ah, my bad ... my automatic assumption is people refer to his marriage when talking about his "off the course" behavior ... forgot for a moment i was on a golf forum ...

It's no surprise that his back can't take the stress of his mammoth upper-body size coupled with the violence of his swing.

would you go so far as to say "linebacker sized"?

Saying Tiger’s actions have not directly affected his on course performance is myopic.

Being basically a man whore and feeling bullet proof enough to never even have a driver when your hopped up on pills is self destructive.

driving a car and speeding excessively on a narrow hilly road is also a by product of “rules don’t apply to me” bullet proof attitude.

ive been sober 30+ years and there are steps that can be taken to limit destructive behavior. Being the goat apparently makes you immune to common sense.

Your opinion will be very unpopular w/some here… But Its hard to say you’re wrong.

My parents work some of the Champions Tour events down in FL. It was communicated to the marshalls that they should inform the players to keep carts off of a couple fairways because they were wet. Daly's response was "f*** the marshalls." These folks are volunteers who are just trying to help keep things moving and keep the course in tip top shape. As a matter of fact, they pay to volunteer. What a dick.

You can’t be blind to the human condition just because you idolize someone.

bottom line, had he taken the same care of his personal life the way he took care of his body he very much would have busted 18 majors or more.

Had Daly taken care of his body he too, might have had more than 2.

Workout hard and practice and get stronger took for tiger

Dont drive intoxicated, don’t cheat on your spouse and don’t speed missed on the uptake

my life has been a constant barrage of what not to do and you damn well can be sure that I pay the price for my crappy decisions 30 years ago today.

You guys are mad at the ruling bodies who allow carts.  Not john or tiger.     Easy solution. Don’t allow carts for any reason.  Then sack up and take that heat.

Tiger Woods may have made some questionable decisions that led to not being able to perform on the highest levels of this sport at the moment. But when he shows up he tries. John Daly doesn't even try. He doesn't seem to be practicing, his diet is a joke, he walked off the course more than once. He doesn't play well most of the time and doesn't seem to care. He cares about pics with Hooters girls, playing slots and selling shirts and caps with pictures of a washed up has-been in golf. Why should the ultimate Non-Professional be granted a cart? What's next? Not having to hit putts because his belly is so bloated that he cannot see the ball at address?

Tiger has an unhealthy obsession with "fitness" and practice habits.  He over-exercises and over-practices. It's no surprise that his back can't take the stress of his mammoth upper-body size coupled with the violence of his swing.  Add in his refusal to call an Uber when he's hopped up on pain meds and now you add in an f-ed up ankle from a bad car accident to the mix.

🤣🤣 🤣

Tiger looks like a guy that goes to the gym maybe 2-3 times per week but only hits the McD's drive-through maybe once.
