Jealous of the peacoat...

Dude it’s freaking awesome! It’s like a blue green color when the sun hits it. I’ve had no issue with glare. And this head with the Ventus TR looks as good as it performs! I do wish I had the black and orange head cover though. Anyone want to trade head covers?😂

Played Sunday and had a few "that's ur best one all day" comments on balls I almost missed completely off the toe. (Non LS version) Some distance loss is there but negligible and straight balls. I'll report back with simulator numbers if I ever practice again. Also as I'm sure you expected @SwingBlues I will have my hands on a rogue in the next month or so to give you the comparison you are no doubt waiting for 😜.

...see that's the JOY of being a Cobra LTD tester. Sweet & jealous 👍😁

So are you saying the TSi3 is now going into the backup bag, or dare I say...BST?!?!?!

I will try to in a month or so. I’d like to take my Mizuno STg 220 with the same TR shaft to compare. But on course testing for me is already showing me what I really need to see. Like you thought, I like numbers!🤣

How's the toe hits on the LTDx non-LS and LS drivers in terms of the draw/hook spin and distance?

I don’t hit out on the toe often but on the range the toe hits don’t seem too bad. Slight draw seems to be the result with the LTDx.

Got 9 holes in Saturday evening and 6 more today on my busy muni down the road.

On the course the LTDx is continuing to prove its consistency and forgiveness. I haven’t been putting the best swings on it these last two times out and outside of a horrible swing (pull-hooked the hell out of one in the first tee) the ball is staying in play and isn’t loosing too much distance. I’ve been straying a little heel side lately and I’m not really losing too much distance compared to my better swings.

I might be playing in a scramble this Friday. That’ll be a fun test to report back on if it all works out.

Yeah she gone... Definitely out of the bag as my gamer. The difference in the forgiveness on the Ltdx compared to tsi3 is so drastic that it's a no brainer.

If, once I do an actual side by side comparison and the tsi3 comes back longer I may keep it on the Autoflex for a fun scramble driver. If it's close you will soon see a listing for a tsi3 with the sweet spot in mint condition.

I literally live toe side with everything, 2, 10's up front.  It's been the best driver I've ever owned for my toe miss, less hook, spin is very consistent

What's the feedback like on toe strikes? How much do you lose there in distance? I think I would take any loss in distance versus a spinny hook ball that's adios...

Another round in with the LTDx LS. Let me start by saying I just can’t leave well enough alone! I play my driver at 44 3/4” so I ordered weights from cobra and received them before I got my driver. I put a 14g in the heel and a 6g in the toe. This set up had been money for me. For some stupid reason I felt the need to try a 10g in both spots. I had a awful day getting off the tee. I could get this thing going. Finally on the 14th hole I put the weights back to the way I’ve been playing it for the last several rounds and the magic was back! Finished the round killing the driver! I didn’t think it would make that much difference but dang! It just wasn’t feeling right! I will be leaving it alone going forward.

I don't live toe-side but for the ones I've missed on the toe I feel like the distance loss has been minimal and I have to swing REALLY bad to hit a snap hook with this driver. As long as you put a decent swing on it, it almost doesn't matter if you miss the center you really won't get punished. As far as feedback it's enough to tell where you missed it but it is pretty subtle and not harsh at all. More often than not I find myself just looking at the face to see where I missed. I love the design of the face because it makes it SUPER easy to see where the strike was.

Playing a course today that I typically don’t play well on… and it rained all morning.  That said, I’ll report back and edit this post later.

Happy to see most are seeing the same forgiveness I am.

Post round update:

As I said, I don’t usually play this course very well it is probably the most difficult course in my area that I occasionally play. That said I can’t fault this driver at all. You can pretty badly miss the center of the face and the ball is going to go the general direction the face is pointing without too penalizing of a loss of distance. I hit it pretty well on the front 9 and had one really good drive on the back. But I did get a case of the lefts. But this was a swing issues for me, as everything was going low and left no matter what club. (I think I got tired and started swinging all arms).

I played an entire round with just the Cobra in a little 4 ball match, I am seriously loving this club. I felt like I couldn't miss with this club, any fairway I missed was simply a misjudgment on my part of either aim or playing for a wind that I didn't quite predict right. I even tried to slice it around a corner on one long par 5. I easily had the length but the club did not want to let me curve it that much!

On one short par 4 I hit it in the greenside bunker, I have never been that close to the green from the tees I played. I am a huge fan of this club. Currently I do not need to cut down the shaft any because I am hitting the fairways, but it is a little longer than my previous gamer.

Great feedback so far! Keep it going.

My question is what requirements for any of the testers will keep this club in your bag and replace your current driver? Meaning what does this driver need to do to earn a spot in your bag?

It HAS become my gamer, replacing its predecessor the Cobra F9. The F9 was my all-time favorite, best performing big dog; the LTDx surpasses it in every way

Just wanted to give a quick update that I’m going to be adding some lead tape to increase the swing weight. Hoping this will help with the lack of distance I’m seeing. I’m playing a really tough super tight course next Monday and will report back!

I’m actually thinking about sending mine out for some hot melt. I want to see if it helps the launch a bit. I’m hitting it plenty far but some days I feel 20g of weight up front is too much. I’m thinking of adding 6g in the rear and pulling some weight off the front.

I added some to mind but not for performance reasons, but rather to get balance right and tone down accoustics a bit. For what you are trying, id might just consider the non ls version

Well the LTDX (and an uncharacteristicly good short game) helped me to a new personal best of 81 (yeah I doubled 18…) I’ve said it a lot already, but if you are delivering the club square-ish the ball is at worst gonna stay in play. Out of the center or even a little off it feels great and just goes!

So….picked up a LS head (delivered  today) and took it out for its first voyage. First off the Peacoat Blue with my PVD smoke green shaft is just filthy to look at. Second, @cobragolf hit a home run with the Ltdx heads especially the LS. They took everything I loved about the F9 and made a few tweaks to give us the BEST DRIVER I’ve hit so far.  With the exception of one bad swing (non committment) I hit every fairway and the ball just wanted to go straight to a 5 yd cut.

ball feels like it jumps off the face, sound is perfect and it just goes. I noticed the head launches a touch lower then I’m used to but didn’t play with adjustments. I was playing the heavy weight in the toe since my miss is usually toe side. Great first round and can’t wait to play it again.

Just added the LTDx peacoat, previous driver was Radspeed XB which is the best driver I've ever gamed. LTDx is a monster, feel and sound is so good. Interestingly, though, the Motore shaft from Radspeed simply doesn't work for me, at all. I've got HZRDUS green IM10 and black models battling it out. Half the fun, right? Anyway, LTDx is so good.

Don't forget the LAB Mezz he is still testing also!!!

Update for me I haven't been hitting it much. It's in the bag but I've been hitting my 5wood (really 4 wood) miles off the tee and just feel super confident with it. I'd say I use it 4-5 holes a round.

I did get a new net put up on my simulator and I was pleasantly surprised at the numbers. With my tsi3 I was sitting around 3300 rpm and my best drives were around 2600. This driver is averaging 2000 rpm which is amazing for me.

I did select a heavier shaft for the cobra as recommended from my club pro to help calm down my aggressive transition so my club speed is down around the low to mid 90s but I rarely get over 100 with my tsi3 so I'm fine with it.

Thanks to someone on this thread 😡 pointing out a great deal on a rogue St I will have one arriving next week. I have a friend lined up to buy it if it I don't love it. I'm pretty confident the Ltdx will hold up but Ill give it a fair shake.

Also get this in my bag!
