I just bought PXG 0211DC Irons and want to know, are there Fake PXG 0211DC Irons out there? And if there are, how do we tell the difference between the real and fakes.

I recently bought a set of PXG 0211DC Irons, and I don't know whether they are real or not, could anyone perhaps give me advice or information regarding how to tell if they are real or not. I took some pictures of a couple of the irons, though there are 9 pcs (5-9,G,W,L,S) and have not removed the plastic wraps over the iron heads, I can take more pictures if needed. and all serial numbers are different in the clubs, these are my first clubs as I just recently started playing golf, but absolutely love it so far!

I reside Indonesia, unfortunately we don't have official PXG stores here, so i bought them from a local store

Sort of hard to tell from the pictures but this line on the back of the head looks off? This could change depending on what iron it is?

I think that might be the reflection from the plastic around the head

Maybe try calling PXG customer service and see if they can check the serial numbers to confirm.

Do the above, also do the grips give off a rubbery odor? That is a surefire indication that they are counterfeit/

I just bought a set last week direct from PXG.  They look the same, but mine didn't have the plastic on them.

Also, the PXG stock Lamkin grips are the worst grips I've ever felt.  They might work somewhere with 0% humidity, but here in FL it's like trying to swing a club with no grip at all, dripping with vaseline.

I was told to email PXGJapan because they dont share serial databases unfortunately, so I wrote up an email, hopefully things workout and they are authentic!

They look like a pretty good fake if they are.  The one things that does look off is the detail around the "0221".  If you look at the small partial lines, it is different than in this image.  You can see there is a full line below, and on 2 small dots between the 0-2 and 2-1.

But then again, here are two more images, one from 2ndswing and another from somewhere else that shows the same design as your picture:

 

 

It is entirely possible that PXG has multiple suppliers for that plate and that there are small differences between some of them.  Or that they change suppliers or the design slightly in the middle of production due to supply chain issues or cost or whatever.

I emailed PXG yesterday to authenticate the serial numbers and everything checked out, the serial number, and iron types, thank you guys for helping me out! All the information was super useful!
