Thoughts on Bubba's new $1million dollar watch?

What's everyone's thoughts on Bubba new Richard Mille. 50 pieces. about $1MM retail. Apparently all sold out.

Richard Mille is big into F1 drivers also if I'm not mistaken. Their watches tend to speak more to the Monaco vacationing, multiple yacht owning, "let the help take care of that " type crowd.

 

Definitely not the style or the look I'd be trying to cultivate even if I could afford one 🤣. I prefer the classic look of Rolex, Omega, Cartier, and those heritage brands. I want to have a watch on my wrist not a robot.

Sounds like I am one of the few who like it. For those who dress flashy and fun on the course. Some guys enjoy wearing funky new edgy bright golf shirts and with crazy colors. bad birdie or william murray or whatever. I can see this as the sort of the billionaire version of that. 

 

I also appreciate a mechanical watch that is light and can withstand the impact of wearing while golfing.

Richard Mille's might as well be an NFT. I'll stick with Patek or Audemars for ultra premium time pieces.

I’m partial to the MUSK MR2129. It weighs a 1 1/2 pounds and can’t be ignored when you stroll into a room and want to make a statement.

Not a fan of Milles in general though I have great admiration for the engineering that goes into a tourbillon movement.

Just goes to show that the vast majority of sports figures are multi millionaires playing a game.

He would not be the first sports celebrity that gets bumped on the head or forced at gun point to give it up.  $1M gets a lot of attention not to say the $850k model does not. The $ feed a lot of people.

there are a lot of other watches id choose if i was going to spend a house on a timepiece. 

 

that being said, i have no issues with how anyone else spends their money.

Utter waste. Give the money to st Jude or make a wish. My phone has a clock and that’s all I need now. Haven’t worn a watch in 20 years and that one was a cheap Casio ironman that never let me down and kept accurate time

Meh. I'd imagine Bubba does plenty with charity. 

 

I don't disagree though that it's a waste of money and ugly as hell though. But I'm a classic Rolex Datejust type of guy.
