Course recommendations on Long Island, specifically near Hicksville area. Doesn't need to be fancy, I have a morning to kill.

Cant get on at Bethpage via their online booking. Cantiague and Eisenhower each wont pick up their phone. Any suggestions on where to play?

It is getting harder and harder to get a tee time as a foursome in Nassau County. As a single, it should be much easier. I have both Bethpage and Eisenhower saved on my phone and check for cancelations. A course by me on the south shore is Middle Bay which has more openings it seems.

 

Heading west into the boroughs you can try Forest Park in Queens (slow round) and Marine Park in Brooklyn (slow on the weekend, but the best of the city courses). Also, north shore in Roslyn is Harbor Links ($100+ on the weekend, but really nice course).

 

Heading east opens up more opportunity. There are a bunch to mention if you don't mind taking a little drive along 495 eastbound.

middle bay is pretty good, can be very windy though. 

 

eisenhower has online booking, have you tried that?

 

douglaston is my favorite “city” course, but it’s still on Long Island, so not terrible from hicksville

Wind watch and harbor links are both about 30 minutes away both solid courses.

 

crab meadow is nice played it this weekend $58 with a cart good value
