  • Race to the CME Globe: 500 Points
  • Format: 72 holes
  • Purse: $1,750,000
  • Par: 71
  • History: This event was held from 1986 to 2006 and returned to the schedule in 2010.
  • Yardage: 6,190

Celine Boutier matched a career-low score on Sunday with a final-round 63 in the ShopRite LPGA Classic presented by Acer to reach 14-under par overall and hold off Rolex Rankings No. 2 Jin Young Ko, No. 3 Inbee Park and a charging Brooke Henderson for the second LPGA Tour title of her career.

I have a feeling Minjee will not be playing this one.

Looking at the forecast I expect the scores will be low.  Rain on Wednesday and Thursday and expected light winds Friday through Sunday.  Played the course a week and a half ago and the fescue is very healthy.

Unless it changed this year, it's been 3 rounds for as long as I can remember, extra Pro-Am round I believe is the reason

Thanks fellas.

Pretty weak field but not surprising coming off a major.

Annie is probably burned out, despite this being the site to her only Tour win and closest event to her hometown.

I think Gina Kim will do nicely, coming off her best LPGA finish and winning on the Epson Tour.

Upper Montclair is closer to Bethpage than Atlantic City by about an hour depending on traffic of course.

I predict Mina will ride the momentum from the US Women's Open and get her first W.  She tasted the champagne and caviar with the cash she received last week and is now addicted and needs more 🤣

And Natalie Gulbis is also in the field?  I didn't even know she was still playing.

@HankScorpio Were you able to get the Tournament Entry List = from the LPGA website?

I searched ... and eventually found the Entry List on LPGA's Twitter ... odd that it's not yet on LPGA.com

https://www.lpga.com/tournaments/shoprite-lpga-classic-presented-by-acer/tournament-entries

Monday Q's: https://qs.lpga.com/reports/?tourn=ATCQ&report=https://preq.lpga.com/tic/tmentry.cgi?tourn=ATCQ~season=2022~alphaorder~

I found it on a different website.  The LPGA website updates are so slow.

She is from Long Island, the same town I am from. I know they had the Aramco team event at Bethpage last year. You are correct, I forgot about the other LPGA event they host in NJ.

Yea I know. Bethpage/farmingdale are on Long Island. I thought she went to Bethpage HS. I know she was a member at colonial springs where I was for a bit.

If you go to the "Tournament" heading on the LPGA site and click through, I can generally get to an Entries List fairly early.

Yes, go to Tournaments and (for some reason) click on “View Past Results”.  There will be Tournament Entries to click on.  The Meijers event and the KPMG have an entries list up now, although they’re probably not complete until the Friday before the event.

Close! She is from Levittown and went to MacArthur HS. Even beat all the boys in HS in record setting fashion. Family friend of mine played for Glen Cove around the same time , I'm a bit older.

Her college career was dominant too at USC , kind of underwhelming as a pro but not her fault as she underwent thyroid surgery shortly after turning pro and chronic back issues, I think the long putter helps 🙂

After starting off nicely at Chevron this year, she stated she's back to 100 pct again and rediscovered her love for golf so I hope she wins again.  Having a good season so far.

@MagicClassic407 @BadgerLin
yes I had included the LPGA Website Link in my earlier post here... presumably if posted on the LPGA Website...then this is the correct Link(?)

maybe the LPGA website intern is taking a break...

This one is usually not one of my favorites, but I'm more interested than usual this year given that I played the course two weeks ago. 'Will be interesting to see how I should have played the holes. Lol.

I've played it quite a bit.  If the wind isn't blowing and the bugs aren't bad this course is pretty easy provided you know when to leave the driver in the bag and you avoid the fescue.  My last round there was pretty solid except for a pulled tee shot on 7 into the fescue.  Found the ball in a horrific lie.  Advanced it only 6 feet with a wedge back into the fescue and never found it even though I watched it go in right in front of me.  Result was a triple bogie.  Perhaps should have taken an unplayable on the initial ball.....   Stuff like that is how this course can beat you up when the fescue is thriving like it is right now.  As the summer goes on the fescue becomes less and less of a factor.

She has been playing pretty well recently.  It's weird seeing no sponsors on her clothing.  I see her wear a Yankees hat in some her rounds.  I hope she gets picked up by a sponsor.

    • In-hand photos of 2023 TaylorMade Stealth 2 Plus, Stealth 2, Stealth 2 HD drivers + fairways woods
Check out our front page launch stories here and here.

What you need to know: For the first time, carbon is the most prevalent material by volume in a TaylorMade driver, and more carbon equals better performance, says the company. Last year, TaylorMade debuted a 60X Carbon Twist Face. With TaylorMade Stealth 2, engineers are bringing carbon to more of the golf club — and unveiling a new-and-improved Carbon Twist Face in the process. Stealth 2 Plus (low spin, most workable) Stealth 2, and Stealth 2 HD (draw bias, high launch, most forgiving) drivers make up the Stealth 2 family.

      Stealth 2 HD

What you need to know: Breakthrough movable weight technologies and versatile designs are the hallmarks of the 2023 TaylorMade Stealth 2 fairway woods. Stealth 2 Plus is branded as “three fairway woods in one” owing to the unique performance characteristics afforded by the 50-gram sole weight. Stealth 2 features a slightly lower profile 3D carbon crown than Stealth. This moves CG down and away from the toe with more weight in the rear of the club for higher launch and MOI. Ultra-high MOI Stealth 2 HD features an oversized 200cc head and low-profile sole, creating an easy-to-hit, draw-biased club.
