Brooke probably can't wait for the tournament to start. With 2 wins in the last four playings of the event, she's gotta be a favorite. Lexi and Nelly also do well here.

"Mijun" in the thread title sounds an awful lot like a MINJEE prediction.  😛

This is a well run event and if I can find the time I hope to get over to see it.  Probably will not given that I have tee times to attend to, but maybe.  Conditions should be ideal, we've had a cool spring with plenty of moisture, just some occasional mild heat.  Good conditions for growing grass.  As of right now the weather forecast is fantastic too.

Saw on Facebook that Yuka Saso was in town already this past weekend, putting in work on the range at Boulder Creek across the street.  There was at least one other player there as well.

She was in fine form on that last day in NJ.  Her ball striking was on point and the putting held up.  Her distance and accuracy off the tee will give her an advantage over most of the field.  She will be tough to beat this week and going into the PGA.

This should be another good warmup for Nelly going into the next major and helps that she is defending champion in both tournaments. 😆

A bit surprised to see some of the players teeing it up for the third straight week with a major next week, e.g. Lydia, Celine. With two majors in a four week span, I would have expected a week off in there somewhere.

Monday Q's: https://qs.lpga.com/reports/?tourn=MGAQ&report=https://preq.lpga.com/tic/tmresult.cgi?tourn=MGAQ~season=2022~result=PF~

Alas ... I keep hoping that Pannarat's perseverance at the Monday Q's = would eventually get a pay off, with her qualifying for the LPGA tournament proper!

Isn't this a dream for most retired people?

Travel and play golf around the world.. I assume for pros.. they play at least 3-5 times a week..

I know from Brooke doing some TV hits after her win, it sounds like she's taking the DOW team event off, which will give 3 weeks off and you can fly over to France Thurs or Friday, instead Sat or Sun from the DOW, maybe others are doing the same.  This year was weird with the gaps between events but if I read the schedule right, there NO time off from the CP Women Open in Aug to the Tour Finale in Nov.   I think the choice for the players is play the DOW and the skip the Irish event after The British Open or vice versa.  Or perhaps the bigger names might skip both

I suspect Brooke will play fine over the course of the week but watching interviews after the win, she seemed really relieved to finally put all back together.  I suspect her opening round she'll exhale and probably only shoot a 71-70 while all the leaders shoot 65 or 66.  You have to score here, the winning score will probably -20 or better, so you gotta fire every round.  The same thing happened to Jeeno after her win, firing a 74 R1 of the Chevron before playing well the last 3 rounds, it sorta natural reaction after a pressure release from a win

I like Lexi also and Sei Young Kim as a darkhorse (i know she's not a darkhorse) but SYK is fighting it to put 4 rounds together, can she do it here.

Yes, Yes, Yes... I think Lexi got her putting issue put away.. She should be very close to winning some tournaments..

Gotta give Lexi a go for this one. Su Oh, or Xiyu (Janet) Lin with some dark horse action.

Su seems to play well at this course, she finished well last week too, hopefully her slump is behind her.

Annie was in contention 2 tournaments ago before falling apart on the back 9 shooting an ugly 74 and finishing T7.

Surprised Yealimi hasn't taken a week off. Her and Stacy Lewis played the most events this year. Yealimi keeps sliding back in the Globe and Rolex Rankings. She's fighting to keep her card at this point.

ROUND ONE

That's a good group.  I'm guessing they will feature Lexi, Lydia, and Minjee for Round 2?

I wouldn't take time off either , if my job was in jeopardy.

Considering Pauline hasn't even been a professional for a full year yet, I'd say her performance so far is fairly normal. Just because she was a former no.1 ranked am means nothing in my world. As we all know the transition from college to LET to the LPGA are three totally different animals. Sometimes taming that animal is a tough task. Imo she should have played the LET or Epson for a full season first.

Yeah I remember she played well on the LET towards the end of last year and dominated at Q school, even the great experts on the US Open winner projection site had her in the top 5 😂 aged like milk

Looks like Tiffany Chan, Mariah Stackhouse and Alena Sharp are your Monday qualifiers.  Chan has been on a bit of a heater lately!

@postfold @MagicClassic407 The two Monday Q's = Tiffany Chan and Alena Sharp (according to this LPGA tweet) ...

Did they do a sudden-death playoff (or count back) to differentiate between Alena Sharp and Mariah Stackhouse's tie score?
