From his PC yesterday, I'm guessing that may happen soon...

But on the ball, Hideki and Lowry and plenty of others have proven the Srixon ball works just fine.  A lot of guys are just weird about loving Titleist, for whatever reason., and once that gets in their heads it's hard to overcome.

The ball worked pretty well for Minjee Lee last week.

He's going to LIV golf especially since DP world tour is now likely to partner with LIV. There is such small performance differences between the top balls. It's not the reason he is missing cuts and not competing. Countless other top players are fine with the srixon balls and/or driver.

The ball and driver isn't going to make up for him not playing tournaments and practicing. He has played what 3-4 tournaments in 6 months?

You do know DP came out yesterday and said they’d had an offer from LIV but had dismissed it right? They’ve already announced they’re working on a closer deal with pga tour.

That's incorrect. Golf Monthly just reported today that DP World Tour are close to final negotiations with LIV. They are not happy with the initial partnership with the PGA Tour because they feel none of the DP world tour players have gotten any closer to be able to play on the PGA tour like previously agreed.

I’m guessing that the ball wasn’t performing the way he wanted so Srixon is probably reworking it.  As for driver I think most Srixon guys have an out in their deal for driver.  Then again maybe the driver is the problem, so he got rid of both for the time being.  Before Srixon I thought he was using a Nike driver.

Srixon says they continue to work on a driver and ball that work for Broooksieeee...to play on LIV which will be announced after he doesn't win the Open.

Pure speculation here, maybe Brooks is securing the bag from LIV and has no issue paying back Srixon any amount owed. No dig at Srixon, they make great equipment.

Play what works, try to make as much money as possible on LIV all while being able to play 3/4 majors which are the only tourneys he cares about anyways. It makes total sense, less golf more money.

Obviously, he’s a whale for Srixon so they are trying to figure out any way to make this work. I think we all know how this ends.

I hold my hands up, my memory was incorrect. It was indeed a golf monthly report.

Just like both the Srixon and TM drivers are quality clubs. They won’t work the same for everyone. The same can be said for the ball. That particular ball works great for Minjee and what Hideki uses works well for him. Doesn’t mean either or another one of Srixons balls is a perfect fit for Brooks. Obviously they are working feverishly on a driver and ball with a Srixon logo on them for him that will be nothing like what we can buy! 😜

He's T79 right now so it doesn't look like the ball is the magical elixir, at least after one round.

Perhaps life has gotten in the way a little bit. Jordan, Rory and Rickie all slipped pretty big when they got married. It'll be interesting to see if Brooks becomes a father within the next 18 months. Even just reducing your practice time by 10-25% seems like it could have a significant effect on ones tour success.

Definitely interesting to see him back with the Pro V1x but the ball ain't the problem. Certain that we will be sat here in 10-15 years time thinking, how the heck did he win 4 majors in such quick succession?!

This is aging poorly after a hot streak, low round by 2 right now.

Agree w/others seems LIV bound but ironic that I would have thought he would welcome not having to play with Bryson, Reed, Mickelson, etc.

Which will be the case for all the LIV guys. Those events aren’t competitive in the sense of a week to week tournament. The litmus test will be next year when these guys haven’t touched a club or played a real round in 6 months. Hard to grind when ur sitting on all that cash…and I applaud them for getting paid too. But 54 hole events with a shotgun start just isn’t the same.  Is it?

I think it depends on the quality of talent that comes. If the next wave is what was reported comes with Koepka, Morikawa, Xander, Fowler and Hovland. LIV will have talent when combined with DJ, Bryson, Reed, Wolfe, Bubba, Sergio, etc. I also think the aussie guys like Scott, Cam x2, Leishman also eventually make the switch.

I think the young DP world tour guys like Adri arnaus and others are going to be in the next wave as well.

His tee to green game may need a different driver and ball, but I'm not sure what BK's putting stats are. The biggest change I've seen in his game are the "under 10' putts" he's been missing.  These were automatic when he won majors.  I don't think the ball can be blamed for this.

Maybe he had to switch back because I picked up the last 3 dozen Z Star Diamonds in the Buy 2 Get 1 deal 😂

Fake News!  I picked up three dozen on Friday. 😀  I'm one of the many XV users who love it but wish it were a little less clicky, so I'm excited to try something a bit different.

As for Brooksie... like the others said, he's +9 and T-53.  Guess it wasn't the non-Titleist ball.

Not true! He’d be at +12 with the Srixon ball! And obviously we can all agree that he’d be at the top of the leaderboard with the 919s!  😜

They’ll still just be exhibition style golf….not a competition.

Similar to Padraig…or a lesser extent O’Meara.  Good careers but two majors in one year for O’Meara?  Three in two years for Paddy?

Is Koepka an Irish name as well?🤣
