Can someone help confirm which weight I need?

I was fit with a TsR2, px smoke blue 60 6.5 shaft. The fitting club played to 45.5”, and the weight in the head was the +2g weight, but I ordered at 45” and I guess the fitter forgot to adjust the head weight with the 1/2” shortened shaft, because it came with the +2g one in it which is noticeably too light.

I read online that the 1/2” short shaft translates to a 3 point swingweight decrease, and that you can add 1 swingweight point by adding 2g of weight to the head. So I would need to add 6g more weight, meaning I’d need a +8g weight, right?

I have the tsr3 that came stock with the 45.5 shaft. It appears the stock shafts are back weighted inorder to be D2. I put a matrix 45" shaft in it and the weight was D3.5. I did mess with adding +2 and +4 the standard 8 was best for my release. I did switch shafts to GD HD5 to see how a light shaft might work @45" it sw d2+ added the +2 weight and it's d3.5. The results with the old matrix shaft I think will be hard to beat. But we will see.

I had the same experience, the head felt a little light when I demoed it.  I usually game my drivers at 45" playing length and D7.  Ordered the TSR3 with +6 weight but forgot to tell them to cut the shaft length down.  Playing length with VA Drago 6S is 45.75", with swingweight at E4.   Its a sledgehammer.  LMAO. I'll probably be ordering standard weight and see how it feels at around E0...

Same here. I requested 44.5" length with a 1K Black 75TX and the +6 weight. The build sheet from Titleist says it's D4.5 but the head itself only weighs 200g on my scale.

Getting the weights was a real pain in the @$$. PGA super store, Ed watts, golf gal in the Dallas area are worthless.

The same here in FL.  I don't think there's any profit in carrying the weights, so the stores don't.

BillyBobsGolf seems to have them in stock. I've bought from Golfworks.com before, the weights were acceptable, but I don't think they have them in yet. I'm pretty sure that both are carrying the non-OEM stuff made in China.  And Titleist doesn't seem to sell individual weights, just a few weight kits (that are probably already sold out).

Per titleist the two big EW and PGA absolutely can order you individual weights.  It seems they don't understand how. And the local reps are just not doing their job. Or the stores aren't smart enough to ask.

I'm still on the fence as to whether my TSR3 is going to stay or be moved on.

It's definitely longer than my SIM2 Max (Smoke Green) by around 10 yards (mainly due to lower spin and slightly higher ball speed), however, my SIM2 Max is just so so forgiving it's hard to keep it benched. I played 15 holes at the weekend (weather shortened course) and I hit more fairways in that one round with my SIM2 Max than I did in the last 3 rounds with my TSR3.

Driving this year has been my strong point and has helped me get down to a 4.6 index but the lower spin profile of the TSR3 just takes that little bit of consistency away, I probably should have gone TSR2 in hindsight but preferred the shape of the TSR3.

After experimenting with both the TSR2 and TSR 3 I am sticking with the TSR3.  For some reason I just am more consistent with it, seems to spin less, is adjustable and I find the center of the face more often.  I’m gaming the TSR2 15 3 wood and loving it.  I don’t think I’ll be tempted to try any other new drivers in 23 (famous last words I know) as digging my TSR3 right now

I succumbed...tsr2+ inbound. Landed a deal I really couldn't refuse.

I'm intrigued about it as a switchout option for courses where I need control and length on par 4s where driver isn't a smart play and where par 5 2nd shots will be in the 260+ range. But if it performs on all.shots then maybe it becomes a gamer 3w...

Will see. No plans to get rid of the Rogue st ls. It has to be beat to be gone and the tsr2+ could be a course specific option.

I've hit it a bunch indoors with my vblack. It's a very straight club. But it wasn't showing the right windows to be an every day 3w. Launch was lower than tsr3. Spin was about the same. But ballspeed wasn't faster. I thought I'd see an uptick in ballspeed.

I want to see what it does on course, especially when I have 270 into a par5. I can't get there with the Rogue...not even with roll.

I'll report back soon.

Probably a stupid question.  All things being equal, is the TSR2 or TSR3 longer distance than the other?  How about on mishits?

There's no one answer to this question.  They are made differently.  TSR2 is more forgiving across the face (heel vs toe, and high vs low)- mishits will retain more ballspeed and less spin than mishits for TSR3. TSR3 has a very hot sweet spot, and the weights allow you to move COG and (slightly) adjust the location of that sweet spot.  If you tend to hit the same spot on the face pretty consistently, the TSR3 is your jam.  If you are all over the face, TSR2 is typically better.

Thanks!  I am a pretty good ball striker but was worried about forgiveness.  In September, I did have a quick test with each and found I had a 1.48 smash factor and was consistent with the 3.  With the same shaft, I was all over the place with the 2.

I don't exactly live in the middle of the club face and the tsr3 was better for me in every way during the fitting.  Mostly because it didn't spin as much on mishits.  It has performed surprisingly well on the course on mis hits too. more distance than i am used too on shots i dont have center contact.

You have to figure out which one is best for you based on how you deliver the club and how much spin you generate.  If you have a consistent miss, the tsr3 can really benefit with the movable weight.  I tend to hit it everywhere on the face and dont find it unforgiving at all.  Dont be afraid of it.  I hit the 4 better than the 2 and I went to the fitting convinced I would end up in the tsr2 but it wasn't even close to the others for me.

I am in the minority here but I generate more ball speed with the TSR2 vs TSR3.  Being a mid spin player, I can play less loft with the 2 and not worry about the high toe nosedive hook that I would get with the 3 and less loft will generate more speed than any USGA legal face tech.

It’s interesting, played Saturday with a  guy who had the 3. I have the 2 and have it dialed in now where I was hitting slight draws all day long. Definately the longest driver for me and other  than the first hole I hit every fairway. Automatic.

However When he struck the club and straight,  well he gained maybe 8-10 yards on my best.  But I would estimate though he only hit about 60 percent of his fairways..some really nasty hooks in there.

So I believe the trade off is there and if you are a good driver of the ball go with the 3 for the extra juice.

This was why I went with TSR3.   My miss is pretty consistently heel-side, which can lead to some big numbers.  Put the weight towards the heel and those misses became manageable fades.  The sound and feel when you hit the sweet spot is as addicting as hitting a properly forged blade...

I played thanksgiving with my TSR 2+ turned up to 14.5* and TSR 2 9* and both felt great and easy to hit! Was only about 60* out and ball was going almost as far as middle of the summer! Very happy and excited to use them next year! Already planning on ordering a TSR 18* most likely over the winter!
