The leading edge on the 56* is noticeably round and appears to be in front of the shaft, whereas he's got quite a straight leading edge on his 60*. That would mess me up.

That R7 was the last fairway wood I hit well.

Also cool to see a really rare Callaway fairway. There's a USGA confirming list entry for a Rogue fairway without an alignment logo and its the only one.

Yup, I remember in an interview he did he said this (current) is his back up, and he's got 1 more back up at home. First gamer lasted 6 years before it caved.

is this the same 3w head that Rahm Uses? Sole looks to have a lot of camber to it. Big difference from Ping who typically have very flat soles

Recall that same interview, think he he had 1-2 more but said something to the effect of "I hope I'm playing this club until I'm 50." Last time I checked his witb he had the lead tape cut to reveal the Nike logo (https://www.golfwrx.com/671431/tony-finau-witb-2022-february/), so wondering if it's a new head or just some fresh tape.

 

Anyone else notice the ferrule creak on several irons (4, W)? Would drive me nuts but I know pings can be a PITA to pull -- to each his own 😅

Oh that special Callaway 3 wood. Very interesting in a PING staffers bag too. Wonder how that works getting clubs to test from companies outside PING.

Finua's and Hovland's club deals with Ping require them to play a minimum of 11 Ping clubs. Likely the same for other Ping staffers. As to getting others brands clubs to play all they have to do is ask. Happens all over the tour.

Usually it has to be ping putter and driver, with some players having 10 club vs 14 club deals for the rest of the bag. A ton of ping guys use at least one vokey wedge in the bag (Hovland, Hatton, Finau from memory no doubt there are more)

 

Tony had a special arrangement where he could use the piretti putter for a while be has been in a PLD for quite a while now
