Really interesting to see a blade 2 iron for a guy who is statistically among the very worst iron players on tour, goes to show all these guys are great if he is among the worst and still games these

Guys that are at the bottom end of the top end so to speak are always fascinating to me. I wasn't familiar with him, but looking him up it makes sense. Dude has pretty wild mechanics, practically sets up with his hands between his knees and really jumps out of the way with lots of manipulation. Always interesting to see dudes get to the PGA Tour with such wonky moves.

I remember an NLU podcast from a few years back where a tour pro was talking about Martin Trainer, basically said something along the lines of "you (Soly, a 2 handicap) could beat him 8 weeks out of 10, but those other 2 good weeks he is good enough to win on any tour". A true testament to the idea that all it takes a few good weeks at the right time and you can make it out there.

Hah that's wild. Looking at his stats it honestly appears to be length + putter/decent short game that keeps him in when he is "on", with everything else being well below tour average.

Ive played Wilsons on and off for years. Love their irons and wedges. 
 

Currently d7 Forged which I wasn’t sure about because I didn’t see much added distance.  But feel, sound and assist is amazing. 
 

Then I started stopping on some shots and boom, 10-15y extra on irons. 9i which was my standard 140 goes 155-160. 
 

Really impressed because these feel and sound like a CB and like the Pros can stomp some added yards.  Little big looking down at them. But man they are awesome and had a couple 220 4i which for me is nuts.
