Need Advice Tip Heavy Iron Shaft

Looking for suggestions on a 120 gram is shaft that is a bit tip heavy to increase head feel.

Thats a hard one, and the only shaft i can come up with is Project X LZ 6.0. Balance point is for a 39.00" uncut iron shaft. Look at the differences "from and too", so you get the picture of change.

@Mookie91  Considered buying the shaft you like and adding a tip weight to drive that SW up?

I heard the MMT 105 is tip heavy.  Do you think it makes more sense ti look lighter?

It would make sense on heavier graphite iron shafts. The tip wall thickness is likely very thick.

I don’t have a vast knowledge on this but balance point can give you a better swing weight on some shafts.  What I have found going from a traditional DG X100 I don’t “feel” the head as much. I’m going to reshaft my 225s and I’m looking for light, stiff but in that D4-D5 range at standard length.

Eric over at New Level told me the MMT is tip heavy.  My irons are 1/4 inch short and they still came out to D3.  I would look into the MMT 105 if I were you.

Only if you don't make the effort to properly fit the swing weight (or really head weight) for any new shaft.  

 

So as long as the shaft picked is a good fit for static weight (shaft weight), the shaft balance point isn't really going to make much difference in how good a fit you will be able to get with that shaft.

If you’ve hit either the OG X100 or the DG120 X100, how would it compare?

I played the X100 for many years.  MCA designed the MMT 125TX to play exactly like the X100 profile which is mid/mid but it's a hair stiffer FCM/CPM wise.  Think of the MMT as a composite version of the X100 with more feel.
