This club dropping/throwing really needs to stop.

I'd still take a club thrower over a slow golfer or one that doesn't fix ball marks any day.

There's levels to this, some light slamming or dropping clubs....i don't really care.

 

Its a little awkward when someone helicopters a club that could hurt someone.

I find it awkward when you're paired with strangers and they go all "hulk smash" during the round.. Last year I played a round with a stranger and buddy would go ape chit after hitting a poor shot. He literally smashed his new PXG driver over the tee markers, but only after 3 decks were pounded with a tomahawk 5i, thrown into the trees..

I don't understand how he would find the round enjoyable, ever...😶

Tough question if you think about it. Guess you will not see much of this no the new tour, just a shrug and some kind of tut-tut. 
 

Meritocracy is not the name of the game in the higher societies. Guess its us with grass root backgrounds that like to see that the play really matters for the players. No need or rather ability to uphold the debonair that signals a life supposed to be comfortable without brain and effort to match.

 

At the same time, it is a matter of respect not to let too much anger show. People of delicate mentality do easily get offended and uneasy in the face of anger revealed. It is a matter of respect not to upset people. I have to admit, seeing Montgomerie play live in his hey day staring down spectators or even quarrel with good people seemingly behaving well was not something that made the experience of the golf tournament visited better.
