Think he bounced into other clubs at one point but not a huge surprise he is playing the brand he got used to for all those years.

 

Shame he got so many injuries and is struggling with confidence now (swing is looking nice) because by all accounts it looks like he is a really good guy. Would be nice to see him have a resurgence of some sort.

I came down to mention the same thing.  I would suspect this is a huge change from x7's.

That and I believe the JDC gave him one of his 1st sponsor exemptions on the PGA tour.  Maybe a little bit of loyalty?

The person who gives out the sponsor exemptions for the John Deere is retiring after this year. I believe Webb Simpson is another player who came back to kind of return the favor for offering him a sponsors exemption all those years back.

Jason Day's WITB is basically to see what he is playing in the Pro-Am and practice rounds. I loved this guy's game for a long time but he WD's from a ton of events now. It's really sad that his back or wrist or whatever is ailing his game is doing this to him.

he use to play it every year. I remember watching him on the range late in the day hit driver over and over after struggling with it during his round.
